Recently had a bash at doing my headliner, whats the worst that could happen i thought! Till i checked the price of a new headliner, was half way through the project at this point, and despite a few wrinkles up front it looks pretty bad ***.

Cost, about $90 in materials (Ill have to ask my cousin where we bought them from, i'm having a major brain fart)

About $80 in glue, we used 3M super 90, but i STRONGLY recommend getting this professionally installed, its a thin material, and any lumps in the glue or **** ups in the application (we don't exactly do upholstery for a living! heh) and it shows in the headliner. Looks sick tho :D I also did the center console cover that i will post pic's of later.

It does make it look darker in your car, but its not supposed to be a light and airy SUV cabin... it makes you feel a little more closed in, like you are strapped into a cockpit of a plane.. i think it gives me better contrast with outside... i love it.

It was a SEM spray on dye. Works good as long as it's not a surface you're going to be rubbing or touching constantly.

Camel8, looks good. and I agree about the cockpit feeling. I actually used the same analogy. It's a good feeling.

I didn't do it personally. My local shop did all the work. They use a product called Sem. It's an aerosol dye. I like how everything turned out, however it will sorta rub off if touched alot, places such as your visors or maybe sunroof slide. None of mine as worn out, but I hardly ever use my visors and usually don't touch the ceiling.

but ya....Sem aerosol dye. They also took everything apart to do it. Cost about 200 bucks.
