Thanks. You could always paint those. They make special paint for plastic and fabric. Although for the headliner you are better of reupholstering. The main reason most interiors use a lighter color for those parts is so the cabin does not feel so closed in. The brighter color opens it up more. Although I think a light gray would have been better with the black/red interior.
Stripping down the rear of the interior is pretty much a waste. Not much weight savings. The front seats are another story. Specifically the drivers seat if it is leather.
Sounds cool Rawr, keep me posted.
PD, personally I disagree as every single 1lb of weight adds up. I've removed all the tar in the trunk and well..pretty much everywhere in the car except the firewall. Granted, I use it more of a autocross car and not street car.

The rear seats cushions and panels are very light weight. I can see you removed more than that as well. Did you weigh everything you removed because I am curious how much you saved.
The tar came out to be 15lb..the seats are only 10lb, if that.. rear seatbelt assembly... plastics... trunk lining and carpeting... not sure how much that all weighs but not much. in the end I would say around 50lb. Would I do it if I daily drove the car? Definitely not, but oh well. :D I'll post up pics when I get the racing seats in. I'm saving just under 40lb by switching the front seats to racing seats surprisingly.
