Yeah... that's a photochop. The grille is very Mazda 6... which is ok on a Mazda 6, but not an RX-7.

I would think the RX-7 should look sportier and more aggressive than the RX-8... that car ain't it.

that artist's impression actually would probably be the closest. i heard it's similar to the 8 but with 2 doors and more agressive styling.

 

They all look like distorted pics of the 8... they should make it more different than the 8.

If it is a photoshop it seems as though they used the first image as a reference. The 'real photo' somehow looks less like a sports car and more like a sedan when compared to the artwork though.

 

If that's a hint at the car, I hope they straighten the wheels out when they go to production.

 

Mazda is in a tough position, the 3rd gen has such a great design that it's going to be hard to top, even today it looks "with the times". It's going to be interesting.

 

Nice concept. It really follows the form of a two-door coupe with RX-8 styling. Now, what kind of rotary engine would go into a 4th gen.? 16B anyone?

None are great IMO but I like the blue one best.

 

I agree that it will be a very difficult proposition to surpass the 3rd gen in the looks department.

 

all the rx7's that they have designed are all too "eh". rx7 has to be very very very very veyr very ( did i emphasize it enough?) very UNIQUE. as the 3rd gen rx7 and the rx8 has been. so don't even think what you see here and now is what will be the future. until yu see somewthing weird but very very attractive, all the others will be pretty much just stupid brainstorms.
