New RX-8 Owner

Just bought my RX-8 on Monday. 2006 Copper Red Shinka 6spd. Bought her with 13k miles, in really great shape. The car was at a VW dealer for about 2 months, and they didn't know how to sell her, so it was priced pretty damn low. Fantastic car, definitely a big step up from my Tiburon GT.

Thanks for all the comments! My fiancee has been laughing at me, because every time I get behind the wheel of the 8 I have a big stupid grin plastered across my face. Such a fun car except at the gas pump. Small price to pay though!

Bah, even here in Greece (where the 8 has sold VERY well) whenever I get to the gas station I always get looks, thumbs-up, "nice car", "awesome dude" and things like that...

Somehow these make the mileage and gas prices matter little to zilch...

They are the leather/alcantara seats that I believe only come in the Shinkas. I really like them, the suede-ish alcantara really holds you in place when tossing the car through turns. I am a little worried about keeping such a light color looking good though. My last car had black sport leather that was super easy to keep clean.

Yeah, I guess the story is that a woman bought it brand new. Drove it for about 8 months before getting a new job with a much farther commute. She traded in the gas guzzling 8 for a new diesel Jetta to save some money. Her loss!
