ferg, is that the only reason you dont like the game? i mean, owning an rx8 if you want to hear one you know you can always just go for a drive. lol. im only partially trying to be a smartass. im wondering what you dont like about it honestly. See, i've been weighing whether or not i should buy this game. it looks good and i've read a few mixed reviews from game sites but they ususally dont know what they are talking about. I find their opinions on games, especially car games, differ wildly from my own. i'd like some real pros and cons from a real car person before i waste the 70 bucks on this thing. oh, and renting isnt an option. i wont give those blood suckers more of my money!

 

Aww, so the drifting isn't realistic? I was going to pick this up since I saw it at best buys for $40. I thought I could finally dust of my g25 wheel too

The engine doesn't sound right. It has that stupid phasing sound that a lot of racing games have. It's really bad at 1:54. I hope game designer's set up their sound engines better in the future.....to sound more like real engines.

I too like the pops, and the road noise when you're turning hard. Sounds pretty realistic.

They also got the sound of the transmission right, at about 2:25.
