Need input on a 13b (rx7) CAD/Animation video

Hi all,
Hows it going? I CADed and animated a 13b engine for an engineering class project, but I feel that it still needs more work to be "perfect." Some details (most noticeably spark plugs firing in the wrong order) are off, but I'm not good enough to catch all of them.... Any engineering/artistic input would be greatly... GREATLY appreciated.

The class is over and I already got my grade, but I spent so much time and energy on this project that I feel that leaving it as it is would be a waste.

Thank you!

I'm in no position to give any advice, but that was damn impressive! I was expecting another basic animation of the engine and then it exploded.... Great job on the level of detail!

That was great. The assembly was backwards to how you stack one, but who cares. If you didn't get an A on this your professor sucks. I'd love to have something like that for an add for my shop.

Nice work.

That's amazing - one of the best Wankel animations to date!

All in all, I'd say this project took over 400 total man hours of disassembly, measuring, CADing, and animating.

Nice work.
Thanks!!! We did get an A in the end, so I'm quite happy. ^^ Berkeley isn't known for going easy on its students lolz.

Out of curiosity, how is the assembly supposed to go? Since we didn't actually reassemble the engine we dimensioned everything off of, we didn't know what the correct order was supposed to be...

That was NUTS! I, like others, went into it thinking it was just a simple animation but you took it to a completely different level. Anytime someone wants to know how a Wankel works i'm gonna show them this video.

Reassembly would go:

Front plate and stat gear

Dowel pins and rotor housing

Rotor with side and corner seals

E shaft

Apex seals and springs for front rotor

center plate

dowel pins and rotor housing

Rotor with side and corner seals

Apex seals and springs

Rear plate

Tension bolts

Great work none the less.

Awesome!
That'll give us a good idea of what to work on over the break. Thank you.
