Thanks, I was at RevItUp at Shea Stadium and I noticed the Mazda Badge on the front bumper, I didn't like it on the RevItUp model so I decided not to put mine on when I got the kit, that is what I think makes the difference, without the badge it makes the front nose appear longer.

I used a brush on kit that cost me about 40-45 bucks, works great you do not need to remove the calipers, dried in a couple of hours, and it took 3 coats each caliper. It looks like a shell instead of the spray on type paint, and it doen't chip after 6 months like some of the sprays do. If I had to described it the best... Like chocolate covered strawberries after they had hardened. I can find out the exact name for you if you like.

Yeah , I got it at Rayco 4 you could get it cheaper but I haven't seen it anywhere but the internet. I'll have a name for you in a day or so, I don't have the box anymore, but it was just brush on paint really easy to handle.

When I purchase my Rx8, I would like to put that MS kit on it. I take it that you can't drive up most driveways or through many parking lots without ripping the nose off right?.....

It's not that bad if you drive really slow but I have already scraped it a little bit under the front end. On really steap driveways it's a problem and I'm sure after I put on the Racing Beat springs and it drops a small amount it will be cause for even more problems getting in and out of driveways! That's the price I pay for something I wanted so badly!

How much is the kit and where do you purchase it? I work 7 days a week. Can I take it to a Mazda dealer and have them put it on?

I suggest you purchase it from Great Neck Auto if you are on Long Island, they are a Mazdaspeed Dealer and talk to a gentleman named "Howie" he is a good guy and his prices were similar to the prices on trussvillemazda.com so you can get an idea of how much I paid, I bought it in seperate pieces so I couldn't tell you exactly how much I paid but somewhere around 3800.00 all together.

Thumbs up

I had to revive this thread.

I went by my Mazda dealer (again) today still trying to decide on a color. I have been leaning heavily towards Sunlight Silver, and I will definitely be getting the Mazdaspeed Body kit. I love the way the kit looks on the Silver (most of the pics you see of the 8 with the Mazdaspeed kit are silver), and that definitely plays a big role in leaning towards Silver.

But today I really kind of fell for the Velocity Red. This was the first dealer that I had been to that actually had all their cars looking really clean and even polished. And man, that Velocity Red looks fantastic up close with the gold flakes in it.

But what would it look like with the Mazdaspeed body kit?

So, the obvious thing to do is come home, hop on the 'net, log onto RX8Club.com and do a search, and this is what I found.

And I must say I am impressed. The MS kit looks great on VR.

Do you have access to a better digital camera so we could get bigger pics with higher resolution?

Congrats on a great looking car!

Do you have any pics Mike?

I'll be looking for your car at Sevenstock so I can see it in person as well.

Sorry about the pics, I don't have a digital camera to get better shots, but I might have better shot somewhere give me a day to look for them, and I'll post them or email them to you. You can p/m me if you like and when I get the pics I'll scan them and reply back. Thanks for the compliments.

Great looking kit. I really like the rear spoiler and rear bumper.
I'm also debating to see if I want to take off my factory spoiler and add MS rear spoiler.....
