That was my first bike, except mine was the "S" edition; Suzuki SV650S. Loved it. I think I have some pics of it around here somewhere:
But you'll have a hard time running 11's. The best I did was a 12.7 but then again I am a big guy.
I was able to run a best 10.87 on my GSX-R750 tho

I see you're at the infamous "viewpoint" off Kanan. Haven't been there in a while, but I used to go to some of the wannabe canyon running races there on weekend nights.

The exhaust I had on mine was an M4 Titanium High mount- it was around $700 shipped if I recall.
I also had a Power Commander (custom tuned), K&N drop-in filter, Vortex 520 chain and sprocket kit, but that was about it for performance. Motor stuff is pretty limited on the SV's. I dyno'ed around 88-rwhp I believe, which is pretty good for the 650. I was able to pull the front end up pretty easily.

You mean the GSX-R front forks swap?
Yeah that's a great mod- I was gearing up to do it but I just decided to buy a GSX-R, lol.
Bike never gave me any issues except for the battery crapping out once and leaving me stranded for an hour, no biggie though. Fresh batt and the bike was good.

Does the big guy ride? It would be pretty funny if i saw that dude doing some crazy knee banging turns. Would be a slap in the face to most riders haha. Anyways ride hard! But try to keep your passengers intact XD

You laugh, but I knew a guy a little bit larger than him who could drag knees with the best of them!
This thread should be retitled "Calling all SV605's" . . . '01 SVS here. Just installed an Ohlin's rear shock and Traxxion fork kit last weekend. Thing rides like a different bike with the new suspension!

I used to have an 01 SV650S... best bike ever. I hate bumblebee sportbikes! V-twin low end grunt powaarr! :P
It sounds really nice when you remove the resonator/spark arrestor thingy from the muffler. Big pain in the rear though.
