|
DAM That guy is huge!!! btw did u take off your fairing?
|
haha, that guy was driving a speed3 and i think he was complaining about his tires being shot
my bike is a sv650 it comes naked from the factory |
yeah, i got to ride one here at my job for lunch one day, pretty sweet ride
|
I felt bad when I thought that the guy was huge and that it was the first thing I noticed, then I read your posts....
nice bike |
That was my first bike, except mine was the "S" edition; Suzuki SV650S. Loved it. I think I have some pics of it around here somewhere:
http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...25-2006-24.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...25-2006-26.jpg But you'll have a hard time running 11's. The best I did was a 12.7 but then again I am a big guy. I was able to run a best 10.87 on my GSX-R750 tho |
honestly i dont think i can ride it under 12 haha, hows the gsxr? i was looking at a 750 but opted for something more practical for commuting
|
I currently have a SV650S. I like it. good job on your time.
|
nice bike i ride a sv650s is that the viewpoint on mulhauland just before the snake? i ride quite often...put a fart can on that bad boy and it will sound like a beast....happy riding!
|
Naked bikes!
|
Ja, you have to go small to get good gas milage.
500 cc to 650cc |
I see you're at the infamous "viewpoint" off Kanan. Haven't been there in a while, but I used to go to some of the wannabe canyon running races there on weekend nights.
|
yup thats muholland on top of the rock store, i was riding that baby thru a couple of times to get better at cornering.
i think im pretty much settled on a yoshimura TRS can in cf, just gotta save up 400 bux, and you think 8 parts are expensive:banghead: |
yep more expensive and less power gains...lol
|
The exhaust I had on mine was an M4 Titanium High mount- it was around $700 shipped if I recall.
I also had a Power Commander (custom tuned), K&N drop-in filter, Vortex 520 chain and sprocket kit, but that was about it for performance. Motor stuff is pretty limited on the SV's. I dyno'ed around 88-rwhp I believe, which is pretty good for the 650. I was able to pull the front end up pretty easily. |
thats cool, did you have any problems with the crank? i plan on doing all that, maybe not the 520 conversion but i want do the gsxr swap eventually,
|
You mean the GSX-R front forks swap?
Yeah that's a great mod- I was gearing up to do it but I just decided to buy a GSX-R, lol. Bike never gave me any issues except for the battery crapping out once and leaving me stranded for an hour, no biggie though. Fresh batt and the bike was good. |
|
Does the big guy ride? It would be pretty funny if i saw that dude doing some crazy knee banging turns. Would be a slap in the face to most riders haha. Anyways ride hard! But try to keep your passengers intact XD
|
i would pay to see the big guy drag knee
no he drove a mazda 3 with very bald tires (i wonder why) |
You laugh, but I knew a guy a little bit larger than him who could drag knees with the best of them!
This thread should be retitled "Calling all SV605's" . . . '01 SVS here. Just installed an Ohlin's rear shock and Traxxion fork kit last weekend. Thing rides like a different bike with the new suspension! :ylsuper: |
I used to have an 01 SV650S... best bike ever. I hate bumblebee sportbikes! V-twin low end grunt powaarr! :P
It sounds really nice when you remove the resonator/spark arrestor thingy from the muffler. Big pain in the rear though. |
No love for the kawasaki 636? I had an 05 , guess i dont belong here XD. *walks away slowly* :uhh:
