Well who could turn down a story of a bunch of our troops, fighting overseas, and STILL finding the time out of their horridly busy schedules to have some customization fun with a land cruiser?

I know I'm biased because they're my local buddies. But what about:

1. MazdaManiac
2. Chickenwafer - Clicky
Currently working on custom "big ***" turbo setup, also has different wheels and a few other goodies not listed.
3. Flashwing - Clicky
4. Charles R. Hill

That's how I like it!

That is an oil catch can. Its plumbed to the filler neck instead of running that hose to the intake and gunking everything up the way Mazda likes it.

Congrats, MM. Pretty complete vehicle you've got there.

Now should I post the infamous Z06 argument that came along with your announcement?

Yes! Absolutely.

I actually had a nice run with a C6 this afternoon on the 101 east of I17.
He did a ricer flyby, but the let off and dropped back next to me and goosed his throttle repeatedly. Sounded kinda loud for just a regular C6, but the driver was a teenager, so who knows.
After a few more gooses, I just dropped back a gear and walked away.
When he caught back up after I let up and blew past me, the first speed camera as you roll into Scottsdale nailed him.
He got off at FLW, so I didn't really get a chance to taunt him any more.

Good job. I will give your car credit where it is due. But that's still not a Z06, you cocky SOB. You may be a bit lighter, but a stock Z06 will put down 440-450whp/420wtq stock. I only heard about your statements because it was posted on ls1tech.

I wasn't disputing what a Z04 is capable of. Its massive, no doubt.
I'm only talking about experience.
Doesn't particularly bother me what those guys think.
There are 8 or 10 late model Corvettes in my development alone.
Nearly every one has done the "whip through traffic to roll-rev at me" thing at some point and the result is always comical.
Its all the driver and the folks that buy those things can't drive them.

I absolutely stand by what I said: "their typical owner/driver put them squarely in econo-box territory."

My faves:

guy looks like a yuppy fruit
As long as you can keep a straight line and put your right foot on the ground, you can beat an Mazda anything with a vette.
totally fucked up and uncalled for
yeah that guy's a ***.
Are you just now finding that people with newer performance cars are all cocky an arrogant and think their cars are the best? Of course they do, they just spent a decent chunk of change on them.

Youll get the same attitude at

350z forums
G35 Forums
Mustang forums
Civic Si forums
Evo forums
WRX forums
Probably even scion forums
Seems to have forgotten "Corvette Forums" and "Viper Forums".

I take it "EvoLuTioN28" is you, Slayer?

HAHAHAHA!!!! I love this coment on that LS1 forum.

Cause we all know that a race isn't a race unless it's in a straight line .

I'll bet any amount of money that the prote guy that was arguing with you on the mazdas247 forum is the same troll that "tattled" on you .

While it isn't true about ANY vette, I'd be willing to bet that a C6 Z06 would whip MM's car in a straight line and around a track.

Also, I find the whole "econo-box" argument hilarious.

The fact of the matter is he who has the most money wins. With enough time, engineering, and cash I could make a go kart out perform MM's car. The Z06 doesn't drive itself. It needs a capable driver.

I suppose it's all about your level of dedication to the sport and to the hobby. Most vette owners walk in, drop a check, and drive the car home. The same goes for most owners of cars of the caliber. I like vettes and have had the pleasure of viewing a corvette collection worth a few million bucks. Still, I have a higher level of respect for enthusists like MazdaManiac who perform the work themselves, learn and educate themselves and always work to improve their ride.

So what if a Z06 can whoop me in a race! Maybe on paper. What did YOU do to make your vehicle capable of that? That's about as retarded as thinking a win for your buddy's vehicle is a win for you.

Phoenix has it's fare share of good and bad drivers...I've seen vettes run 13.5 in the 1/4 mile, Evo IX's and Evo VIII's run 15 second 1/4 miles while seeing a VW bug go 10 seconds. It's all about the mix of vehicle capabilities with the driver.

I might as well make the argument that a formula 1 driver in MM's car could destroy your average Z06 owner. Does that make any difference?

Exactly my point. Since all drivers have different skill levels, what is the point of arguing about the merits of a car based on the driver?
