190 degrees!!!! jeezus, i flip out when my dashboard is hot cause i didnt use my sunshade during the day....
Honestly, i'd be scared to start and drive the car in 120 ambient and no humidity... i guess fear of the unknown kinda thing, cause i know you guys do it regularly

Its kinda fun! Its like blogging without all the work!
Finally got cool enough to go out and flog the new motor a bit (its only 95° now).
I think I may have discovered a way to keep it out of over-heating range a bit.
I won't know for sure until I drive it in 107°+ heat during the day.

Ha, I wasn't expecting the stream to be up but I guess you're leaving the laptop on in the garage?
I see the RX8 parked with the hood up, all the light off. Seeing as it's 2am I'm sure you're probably passed out. Still, it's cool to see if the Mazdamaniac garage is open for business or not!

I didn't want to add to your "ap" emails, so instead I'm hoping you'll see this, plus it gives a bump to your thread.
My 8 has 62k on it. It runs great, but I'd like to get a compression test for the peace of mind.
I can't take it to the dealer because of all the mods, they'll definitely make things difficult if there is a compression issue.
Is the compression test you did, something most rotary shops can do?
I don't mind paying for the test somewhere. Besides, if there is a problem, then I can switch everything to stock and take it Mazda.
BTW - I'll be in Phoenix July 25-27. I could pay BHR to do the test.

BTW - the WEB cam will be going live this afternoon here and there, but it not gonna have the usual automotive stuff.
I'm part of a concert/recital back in DC for a Catholic U alumni event in the Fall and they want to select what they want me to do, so I'll be playing some different things for them to listen to.
Kinda "the other side" of MM, if you will.
