Good point... seems rather stupid :\

Anyways, I'm hoping Mazda sees ahead of time and puts a fullsize spare in the trunk, because accidents do happen... And ditch the runflats.. so lame :\

I've ditched the spare from the trunk of my Miata a long time ago. And don't have runflats too. Just have one of these fix-a-flat type containers in the trunk (which of course can't help in many cases at all).

That's lot of other friends have done to theirs too. Not scared from flats - there are towing services in this world

Looks like Mazda finally learned the same thing too :D That's the way to go ...

I'd be happy with a donut. Don't need a $400 Cnd tire wasting in the trunk.

Doesn't make sense to me either. The last two times I had a flat, the damage was severe enough that run-flats (if I had them) would have not made any difference.
