If you ever decide to paint the mesh, I think Red would look great with the VR 8.

Sorry to sound silly, but don't you have to protect the subs in the back? If you put something in the trunk (boot in proper English) wont they bust up the cones if you are unlucky?

otherwise nice install. I wouldn't mind a little extra bass in mine....

yeah u do have to be careful about what goes in the back but i dont put a lot in my trunk anyway.

tony CP, i dont know what a type R is but. If they are any better than what i have then they were probably more expensive. which i didn't want.

The sales man said he liked the JBL subs they had more, but i did not like the sound they made compared to the alpines. So i chose the Alpines for 80 dollars more.

alpine makes Type S Type R and Type X (and Type E lowest?) speakers, each a little better.

well, when i bought my type R off ebay two years ago they were going to 80-100 dollars brand new. i dont think they cost too much?
oh and did the installer dynamat your car? it reduces the rattles greatly.

I've always been on the edge on whether to get some new sound system installed in my car, just can never pull the trigger..

Anyways, looks great! And I hope it sounds as well as you hoped

yes, he said he put a lot in there. so much that u can't even feel the bass outside of the car

but its all good, ill pin point the rattle spot and get it buckled down.
