havnt been on here in awhile, so i figured id show my most recent mod.

Totalled car last november. hit about 5 trees and a few poles... was a sad day indeed.....

lol wish i did, unfortunatly i got royally screwed by insurance. apparently rx8's arnt worth **** nowadays. i was only able to take off a few parts before the car was towed. those were sold off though.

 

damn that sucks

glad to see youre okay ... what exactly happened? Im pretty curious.. werent you watching where you were driving?

 

driving home from work at 3am and had a group of seer run out to the road. back of car caught gravel and slid out and lost control. went down a hill and i guess hit trees. i dont remember any of it. when i got out of the hosspital the tow truck driver told me what happned bassed on the tracks/damage/ paint on the trees and fonce poles. when ambulance arrived, i was passed out leaning over the passenger seat. i lost some memory and haad to have surgery to remove glass from my head, had to get 28 stiches on my head, broke my leg, had 21 stiches, 4 pins and a rod put into my arm.

sad thing is, i was wearing seatbelt yet i hit windshield. front airbag never went off and seatbelt never locked.

i was told from the sheriff and everyone else it was a miracle i survived it. didnt seem that bad to me but even the tow driver said he doesnt see many survive a wreck like that...

He said he was. It didn't lock which means it basically only stopped him from going further than the windshield...

 

I think 1stgen8 knew that since he said "could have got hurt a lot worse" but maybe I'm wrong....

holy moly! I am glad your OK (If by OK you mean absolutely smacked up....) and I hope you recover fully. Your 8 is toast... 8(

BTW When you say a group of seer, you mean a bunch of wisemen / magicians? Or something else?

 

I'm pretty sure he means deer, not seer. Mind must be a little messed up from all this.

Anyway, thank god you're ok man. My best friend about 3 months back totaled his RSX Type S, which he had just finished his turbo install and all, which took over a year of saving to finally get. He was coming home at night in a dark area of the main road near our houses when a deer, out of nowhere jumped out in front of him. He swerved because we had always talked about doing something like that since in our town unfortunately there are a lot of deer related accidents and the town has done almost nothing about it. Anyways, I was off at school and looking forward to finally seeing my friend's car after all the work he had put into it, but unfortunately that never happened. He was going about 50mph in a 45mph zone, the deer jumped out, he swerved off the road and went directly into a ditch and hit a tree. Thank God he survived, but the car, and the turbo wasn't even salvageable. He was able to part out a few things, and was lucky enough to get another RSX Type S with all the insurance money since those cars still have a high resale value.

Anyways, I know what you're going through, wel sorta. Yours unfortunately is thousands of times worse than my friends, but I hope things eventually turn out good for you and you can eventually get another 8. Are you able to drive stick anymore, or did the accident cause that much damage to your arm that it isn't possible anymore?
