I like.

I would like to suggest a decal (on the smaller/smallish side) also.

I don't want a big decal (and never a bumper sticker) on my car. I can see putting something on the bottom edge of my back window, etc.

As for changing the "flying M", I'm not against that, but would still like the option of a small decal too.

How's this look? I thought it might be nice to rotate the 8 inside the triangle. I have both versions updated now with vector based and 3D versions.

That's a very good point. I'm glad you brought it up. Does anyone have images of the post behind emblems?

Raz-That looks hot, I didn't even see that you changed it. Can you add rivets to each corner? (similar to the rotor seat headrest in your avatar) Just curious to see what that would look like in comparison.

Cheers!
Ra

Raz,
The rotation did it for me. As far as the post holes, does anyone who has debadged their car still have the flying M that they can accurately measure the spacing/size, etc...if you are asking how to accurately measure....hu, let someone else figure it out as this will need to be exact.
As far as the post that asked for a small size emblem.....I have a feeling that P will end up making a few examples on a variety of materials, including shirts.
Ra- I am with you, I would like to see one with the rivets....just as a design submission.

Raz, thanks again for running with the ideal it is looking excellent!
P.S. Can you e-mail me the files that you are offering to RX8Pusher@***.net? Thanks

What... No modifications?
I have often contemplated exchanging my "Flying M" with a and emblems...
Ya know, just for laughs... People keep confusing our 8 for other brands anyways!?!

Razorama, can you post the DXF file as an attachment? I think a number of us would find it useful and it would save you from having to email it to everyone. Thanks.

Nice job with the idea Shocka and nice work with making it a complete RazOrama, I'm in the market for new emblems so I'm definately interested. My emblemhouse.com emblems are junk the front one almost totally chipped off all of the paint, and they won't answer my emails!

Can't wait to see them finished. If you want I can take a pic of my stock bumper that I have in the garage, the emblem was taken off of it and you can see where the holes are. I can take exact measurements when they are needed...let me know.

Devious,

Can you supply the pics? Also, precise measurements of where the post are will also be needed. We need to know if the new emblem will cover up the holes.

Thanks in advance,
Ra

Front and back are different, different holes and all, and they're also curved to fit the body. I'd like to get measurements so I could warp the new emblem to at least approach the curves of the 8 for a more snug fit.

Here's the zipped dxf. I checked it and the model has no holes - there are a couple of poly's with more than 4 sides - hopefully that won't be an issue with Cad softs.

Maybe later today I'll have time to add some rivets to the corners... no promises though, its game night and they have me on game day graphics crunch here. Go Phantoms!!! Welcome back to ... Purple Reign ;-)

Ok here is a pic of the holes the measurments are from the center of each hole to the center of each opossing hole. The two top holes are 3.5 inches apart and the right hole is .75 inches from the bottom hole:
