HKS Hi-Power Exhaust Videos
so I installed my hks tonight...
two questions:
1. The stock gasket from the midpipe that meets up with the hks exhaust seems too big. Basically it feels like it's sealing, but the midpipe and exhaust don't meet up because the gasket is so big... did you have this issue?
2. The exhaust tip just after the muffler (not the Ti screw on part) has the two holes that screw into the Ti part on at a weird angle. It's closer to vertical than horizontal. Did yours come this way too? (I can post pics later on of this if needed)

2. The reason why the tip bolts are rotated is because the actual Ti tip angle is rotated to fit the contour of the factory rear bumper better.
I hope this helps!
That is correct. The stock exhaust does the same thing, it's just not as noticeable. Trust me, it won't fall apart as long as the bolts are tightened. Mine has been on my car for about a year and I've had no issues at all.
ok cool.
I'm strongly considering buying the 90 mm version of the active silencer now:

The specs look like it'll fit into the HKS can. It's basically a standard silencer (a blocking plate that has a smaller pipe in the center that reduces sound (and air flow), but the blocking plate is sitting on a spring, and when the exhaust flows, it pushes it back, allowing the exhaust to flow freely at high rpms but without the sound at low rpms...
cause without a cat this exhaust is just too loud for me.

Have you thought about adding a resonator to your B&B catless midpipe? Without a CAT, any exhaust will be loud... even with a turbo. On my turbo, I plan on using an HKS Metal Catalyzer (which includes a resonator) and I'm pretty sure that will be loud too! haha
