Hit a deer, sad day

It doesn't really look totalled. No frame damage, just the windshield and some body parts.
The roof should pop right out in the hands of an expert body shop.
If you want to keep the car fight for it.

So in the US you don't have the option to take the money and keep the damaged car and fix it on your own?
Here you have the right to do so and it's what I did when a terrone crashed against my beloved corolla.

bse you can take the money and buy the wrecked car from the insurance company

bse, usually if you have full coverage insurance the car goes to the approved body shop and they get the money directly from the insurance company. You never get to see any of the money, but you do get to hand the deductible over to the body shop.

I do this kinda stuff all day, every day.
To me it doesnt look totaled. Pictures dont do it justice but judging from them.
junkyard (LKQ) fender
straighten roof, easily done by removing headliner, and literally punching it out, then doing your hammer and dolly work to it, throw some mud on it and its done. 3-4 hours on that id say
new windshield
refinish fender, bumper blend into door and hood
EDIT; LKQ bumper
LKQ - like kind and quality i.e. junkyard
id say around 3 grand in damage. depending on your year, miles, and acc package. could go through.
Most times if its close to the total mark, 70-75% of cars Fair market value, they will give you the option to total or to fix.
Personally, thats very minor damage, I wouldnt want to waste the car over that.
but keep us updated, hell if you get it out to PA, im sure we can work out a deal... haha

So if they total it, and you decide to keep it, the insurance company will most likely pay for the parts, and the rest is on you. That where not having to pay the shop labor rate will save you. If you or someone you know can do the bodywork for a few beers or whatever, you save so much just from labor. Average shop rate is 50 bucks, dealerships range from 75-150 depending. Not to mention frame labor is more expensive, as is electrical...
