alright guys, no updates to the car quite yet, our parts hadn't come in yesterday, so we pretty much just prepped the other parts for later. I have this thread running on two different forums and the people on the other forum wanted to see the shop, so i took some pics of our shop.

in the first pic you can see the fiberglass body panels laying against the wall. other than that...they are just regular shots.

k, so again...most of the parts i said would be here by now have not come in yet so there isnt much to update on, but over the past few days...we have gotten a few more things on the car. We have the front brake assembly completed atm, as much as the steering as possible. So far, we have installed the radio holster, Start up switches w/ wiring, fuel cell, fuel line, Window net, master cylinders, and strut bars. We also received our racing headers, they had been sand blasted, then we painted them today, obviously we can't install them without an engine so more pics to come. Not a HUGE feat to get this done in 3 days but we are restricted by the amount of parts we have to wait for. enjoy.

 

alright guys, i havnt put an update in about 10 days, sorry about that. but there isn't much to update on. We got our rear end in...got it cleaned up. We put new gear ratio in it. Then we got around to installing it. This week we also got all the body panels sanded and ready to paint. They are being painted as we speak and tomorrow we are supposed to install them onto the car. All the "fun" parts are supposed to be in sometime soon. i hope...lol. Then yesterday we finally got the car supporting its own weight. I was told that i cannot let you guys know what type of rear end we are using, so sorry i had to black it out.

k well another update. they are far an few between...but ill keep posting.

Basically just got the body finished, some small things. Got all the body panels test fitted and painted. the whole fuel system is finished, front bumper and air ducts finished being fabricated...not a whole lot, but i thought u guys deserved some more pics.

we are also in the process of getting some sponsors, so far this week we have a few meetings with a few companies about some financial aide =) will keep you posted!

^Well if they like cars so much i think they should get on their knees and start workin on some! Only pics with girls in it were the first pics he posted. I guess they just showed up the first day for the group pic, then never came again.

 

lol no actually both of the girls are there almost every day, the brunette actually had surgery on her shoulder and is not allowed to work on the car anymore, she had all the muscles, tendons, and ligaments snipped and tightend or something. The blonde still comes every day. the reason why there aren't pictures of either is because i'm not allowed to take pictures while we are working, im only able to take pics after we are done and are about to go home. maybe with the next update ill snap a shot =P

Brunette had shoulder surgery? That sucks, i just fractured the rotator cup in my right shoulder on sunday while i was snowboarding. They said i would not need surgery, so i get to wear a pretty sling for a few weeks.

 

lol cool, yeah she has 1 of those semi permanent metal braces that holds her arm in place, she says that she has to wear it to sleep and stuff. sucks lol. tomorrow we are supposed to work on it again, maybe i can get a few shots of it with the bumper/fenders on. recently there has not been many replies to my pics. if you guys have any questions i want to answer =P

The car is looking great! To reiterate what everyone else has said... I wish I had a shop/class like that when I was in school. Maybe then I would be less of an idiot when it comes to working on my car.

 

=P yeah thats why im in the club, i'm not really into the whole "go fast and turn left" sport but....its an awesome opportunity to learn how a high performance car works. and how track situations work

 

NEW RIMS!!! 11 rims got dropped off today on the truck. i stacked em up high for ya =)

and then we also got the rear end all riveted in, and the dash put in and wired up. pics inside

That car is really comming together. When will it be finished?

 

well we've been told that the engine tranny and the rest of the suspension has been finished...it has just been getting the final look over. i'm not sure but i hope within the next few weeks it will be completely finished. i think our first real race is on april 24th...and i'll be updating this thread with race pics and pit crew pics and all sorts of stuff. not just install pics.

this thread will be going until mid october...that is when the season finishes.

 

hey guys, well after this weekend its spring break, and so the car is getting locked up for the next 11 days or so, we put the front end on so u guys get a sneak peak at what it looks like.

wont be many updates till a while.
