i used to own a 2002 WRX until some drunk kids decided to throw a stop sign at my car going ot the highway... it then became a write off fully story on that

so my questions are right now.. how do i make this thing faster? is a hawk HP plus a good setup?(maybe not for winter) i need to order snow tires i drove the car today on the ice and the car was pretty much useless without the DSC on...



so hows this for an introduction?

well i initially wanted to purchase an STi but that was a big no no insurence wants $9000 a year for me and my record

then i wanted to buy an SVT Lightning but gas consumption on that

i wanted a G35 coupe but the sales person wouldn't even drop the price a hundred bucks...

so in turn this thing was best... low insurence... and all i can say is EXTREMELY SEXY looking!

wait you mean like it was way too good? because the rx-8 doesnt get that freat of MPG. somewhere around 19ish average. it really varies.


congrats on the car. for power you wont really get anything signifigant with out some cash and its even harder to get more with an a/t.

i also have an a/t and its a great car for what it is. a speed demon it is not but enjoy it for what it is. i love my car and you will hopefully too

To make the auto any faster would be a turbo or SC.. To date I think there are only a couple of turbo autos that post here. I know one is using the RE kit. The other is a Greddy kit.
From what have been reading lately there will be a third Auto with a turbo very soon.

Look in the Preformance section and the Interceptor-X can be fitted to an auto. I had a CZ on mine and gained (according to a G-tach) 21 hp. and 14 tq.

Welcome bro and sorry about the WRX. About making your car faster... chris is right... the only way to make an auto faster is forced induction. Seriously take your 8 back and grab a manual (stick) if you can. The auto only has a 7500 Redline where the Manual has a 9000 (9300 after the RB Flash) and our power comes in the upper RPM range. Also there are more mods for the manual not to mention its just more fun :-)
