brrr - sNOw rx8 drivin' this week :)

Means the engine-replacement is put on hold, too, however.

anywho - we got our first bit of the white stuff yesterday:

As my car has Azenis 615s, it sits and waits for the thaw.

thanks folks - I drove the car in this much snow - or MORE last year, on the dunlops...went..not great, but went. Took me to work. These new tires, though? heck, at the first frost my car nearly went STRAIGHT as the road turned. Skeerd me enough to not even risk it, now.

Here's last year's vid - on the OEM dunlops - you can see I was able to stop at the crest of that hill, and start again.

Right-click, save Target As.

(if it doesn't work, try again in 2-3 minutes... Comcast has the upload speeds capped. )

I've managed in our snow and ice so far, both yesterday, and kinda dreading what I may find in a few minutes when I leave work. It's much worse up by my house compared to in town anywhere. I live at a higher elevation with a lot of hills and curves. Bella did great yesterday on her stock Dunlops.

It is the same storm! (un?)fortunately, downtown seattle wasn't 'that' badly covered. We're hoping to get another 4-6" of snow tonight - but by thursday, temps will be in the 40s again.

booooooo! I'm a snow-lover, but live in a place which doesn't get much.

learnt my lesson hard way yesterday, but thanks god it could have been worst.

tried to drive down the hill where i lived but car literally lost traction and skidded sideways. it was lucky no obstacles nearby that she could have crashed into.

decided to leave her on the otherside of the neighbourhood below the hill and praying for the weather to "warm" up a bit so my baby can go home

Sorry, I gotta say it... You got NOTHIN' on our weather in Calgary! Nov. 27: Hi: -23.8 celcius. With windchill, it was close to -45. I didn't have enough guts to start my car though.

I know what you mean Will, all this snow in WA is pissing me off. Driving on Kumho Ecsta SPT tires was a nigtmare the last 2 night's. Time to garage her for this season and start carpooling with the wife in the Rexter. And again nice pics DMP.

I was hoping to try out my new Kumho Ecsta ASX's (all weather) in the snow, but I work from home (yay!) and have been in a 3-day meeting that's an 8-hour telecon each day, so when we're done it's dark outside and I'm not crazy about driving in ice/snow in the dark I'll let you know if I venture out before it thaws.

P.S. Nice pics D!
