Just got finished racing with the guys, Its fun and all of us are pretty good. I'll be waiting for you all some other time! It's fun watching all those 8's at one time!

Man, that was some good racing. BlueEyes is too fast though, nobody has ever been able to catch me, so it was kind of scary watching the split times drop by about a second at each checkpoint. I vote we do this much more often! 
Huff, it kept saying you were joining our games while we were racing, but you'd leave the lobby after a few seconds each time. Not sure what that was about. Hopefully next time it'll work for you.

dude, those R class cars were insane!! I never drove them before, I was always doing the S class cars. I think I drove the Mclaren for the Arcade challenges, but damn the open cockpit ones are twitchy.
My ELO dropped by about 100 tonight. I kept racing this team of guys in WRX's (S3's) that were absolutely smoking my S2 Skyline. It was mind boggling! stupidly I kept going back for more.

I picked up that microphone thing. It's pretty sweet being able to talk to people. I could only hear some peoples voices through the tv, usually they were too quite compared to the music and soundeffects. Now all I hear is trash talking!! Perhaps because it's the middle of the day and it's all school kids. I let them trash talk while I went ahead and won the races :D
We'll have to race again sometime, I need to let abbid hear me cuss at him when he rear ends me :p
I had one race, ELO race, I thought we were doing nuburgring so I picked the S7. But someone changed it to the quarter mile strip, I never noticed. Everyone was in all wheel drive cars, I lost by about a second to 6 people in lower class cars with lower rankings. That put the smash on my rating. I was so confused when I could see the start and finish lines on the little map.

I ran into the first group of people to really ever give me a challenge earlier today. There were about 3 guys in a room all driving B1 cars they had tuned up themselves and I was in a stock Lotus Exige. I ended up coming in third because they would pull HARD on me in the straights. I had to do all my catching up in the corners and I was doing an alright job catching the Integra on every lap, but I didn't have a chance against whatever the guy in first was running. That was a great race.
Figures that the very next race was one of my worst races, trying to race in the midst of two asshats who would try and spin me out at every corner. I finally broke away and came in first after the idiot in the Mustang missed me and went off course, giving me a chance to pull away from their crap.
Gah, I'm addicted...

sorry for bailing man, I got up to answer the door and tripped over the internet cord connected to the xbox, it pulled the xbox off my table and the game froze.

Ah, you'll get better - a big part of being fast is learning to interpret the racing line thingy. Once you get a feel for how your car handles, you can go full tilt through certain yellow sections and you can coast over certain braking zones. If you get good at judging when you can do that stuff, you'll be running way faster than most of the other people online.

I use the line on tracks I don't know very well. I have a hard time picking out braking points in videogames, it's really nothing like real life where I can say "brake at the 4th pole". I find I don't follow it much anyways, especially on hairpins, it's just nice to have a brake marker.

Yeah, the line's really terrible for hairpins and S-turns. It actually bothers me quite a bit on Nurburgring when it tells you to brake for jumps. Personally, I LOVE catching the air right before that one hard right - that's SO much fun! I've turned the line off on Laguna Seca and I did quite well, but the braking points in this game seem really funky since I'm used to Gran Turismo.

Hahahaha, that would have been sweet! Sorry if I was ramming into you constantly, I was having a hell of a time keeping that thing in a straight line, my suspension was all screwed up. I wonder if you landed right on my *** because the collision box runs vertical even above the car or if you actually just happened to land right there.
