Hahah, I remember when people used to ridicule me for choosing the Enzo because it "sucks" (I suppose because it's an A2 and not an A1). I guess you can only pwn people so many times before they catch on. :p

yeah, I am not liking how everybody drives the same cars. I understand it and all, but it seems each class has a car that is dominant. The A class everyone uses the F355. It was cool at first, but now I won't use it. I tuned a GT3 that can keep up on most tracks. Those ferraris just have a ridiculous accerleration, I need to find a way to make my gt3 accelerate better.

I only run the really fast stuff in ELO races. For everything else, I usually just run whatever I want to play with at the moment. I've been making a habit of avoiding ELO races lately since they seem to be filled with whiners. Plus, not having the overtly competetive atmosphere makes the game a whole lot more enjoyable.

Yes! Our prayers regarding cheaters have been answered! When you log in to forza you will be prompted to an "automatic update" which cures the glitch where people get enormous amounts of money doing that race track glitch. Forza will be a whole lot better!

nah i doubt it, the jetta trick is in-game and has nothing to do with online...guess they'd have to give everyone new copies of the game if they wanted to get rid of that.

I took one of my FD's and installed the 20B with all mods, I don't think it is very accurate because I ended up with the same HP as my 13B FD with all mods except it had more torque. I was hoping to get it into the S1 class but it didn't work, dunno if I missed something.

Is this game really that good?? I don't want to blow $50 bucks on something I will play for a week or 2 then never touch again. I haven't touch GT4 since 2 weeks after it came out. That was a waste of money.

If you didn't like GT, I'd say give it a rent first. Personally, I had to step away for a while because the online racing is sort of going to hell. It's nothing but whiners and jerks anymore. I miss the good ol' days when people would say "good race" instead of "hey, everybody ram that guy that's really good!"

If you can find a room full of good people, this game is very much worth the money. The online racing is amazing and super addictive.

Everyone sees things differently, what I think is good may not be what you think is good but if you ask me, Yes this game is good. You may want to read the reviews comparing it to GT4, they all seem to lean towards Forza. Also, Forza has the online aspect of it which GT4 doesn't offer, this makes the game THAT much better.

Man, some of the art I have seen online for custom paint jobs is incredible, one car was a Toy Story mobile? I don't see anywhere to use custom graphics what gives??

Now, a Rant in regards to the 20B motor. This engine swap is available for the RX7 Spirit R, I did the swap and was surprised to find the HP was exactly the same as the 13B, the only change was the torque increase to the 500 range. What gives? How can a 20B 3-Rotor not have more horses then the 13B? I was expecting to get in the 900 HP's like that silver 8 some company did in the states with the 20B swap. Any increase in HP would make sense for this swap.

I just got my copy. I'm pretty awful at it, but I'm learning. I wish I had Rhawb's terrible problem if being kicked out of rooms because I beat everyone, lol. I pretty much come in last every time... but when a CRX blows past your RX-8 on a straight, ya gotta figure it's more than just a lack of skill. Aha! You should TUNE your car! Who knew?

I'm gonna beat Rhawb's Nurnbergring time if it kills me. I've only managed an 11:16 (stock RX-8) so far, but I have yet to put together a clean run. Only tried a couple times... dang track is so HUGE!

But having never owned a realistic racing game (errr... "simulator") before, I'm in heaven

Oh, and I'm on as "Siberian"

I still play pretty much every day. I usually only race in "no f355" rooms, because those cars are ultra lame. It's a lot more fun. I have seen a few people using CRX's. One of them was retarded fast on the straights. Look for ColeTrickle46.

Is there some trick to getting a good launch at the start of a race?

I usually just hold the throttle down while the race is loading, bouncing off the rev limiter, and let the game release me.

Thing is, I'm often the first car in line... and people with the same (or slower) cars behind me will dang near run me over blowing past me in those first few seconds under acceleration. They'll rocket off into the distance before I can get up to speed, and I spend the rest of the race trying to catch up.

I ran a number of races last night where I actually had the fastest lap time... yet finished dead last, with no one in sight in front of me.

Is there a penalty (power-wise) when leaving the DSC/TC/ABS on and playing online?

I mean heck, I know I kinda suck at it... I crash, I don't hit the racing line all that much... but accelerating in a straight line doesn't take much skill

Edit: Is manual shifting better than using the auto?
