Finally! My Ti-Grey 8 with full Klasse Treatment!

Okay, thanks for helping me out with posting these pics!! :D

Here's my 2004 Titanium Grey M/T. It has one initial coat of Klasse All-In-One follwed by 6 coats in all of Klasse Sealent Glaze. As always, the shine and depth of the Klasse finish are really outstanding.

First pic, early Sunday morning immediately after the 6th Klasse SG layer was applied:

Second pic...

Second pic...later in the early afternoon, with the sun out, really hot day! Notice the glass...full Klasse AIO providing clarity and protection...rain beads and rolls off like mad, bug splatter wipes right off.

wow

looks awesome!! Where can I get that Klasse stuff? Did you apply it with a buffer, of by hand? That would work awesome on my black rx-8. What are the benefits of using that compared to regular wax?

Thanks for the compliment, Crumpmd and Brian.

As to where you can get it, I ordered mine from Concours Direct. You will find you can save money by ordering a complete Klasse kit (you'll need both All-In-One and Sealent Glaze to get the maximum effect and protection).

It is extremely easy to use...no need for orbital buffers, I use plain old elbow grease. For both Klasse products, you really just wipe it on very thinly, then wipe it off. No need to wait.

All-In-One (AIO) is a "cleaner"...it removes light tar, bugs, sap, etc. from your paint that washing left behind. But it also provides a layer of protection that can last upwards of 6 months. AIO provides a deep shine as well by itself, but adding layer(s) off Sealent Glaze (SG) will add additional protection and deepen the shine further. SG can be layered freely on top of itself...the more layers you add the greater and deeper the shine.

The benefits of Klasse over regular wax is primarily its durability. Since Klasse is acryllic-based, its UV and water protection can last multiple months per application where as the best of waxes last a few weeks. Also, Klasse is extremely easy to handle and apply. Where the BEST of carnuba waxes have an advantage over any synthetic treatments is in their depth of shine...the best carnuba waxes are still unbeatable in this regard. In fact, many Klasse users apply a top carnuba wax (PS21and Souvereign are top choices) to their SG layer to really give the shine an added depth.

Hope to have helped...

Looks nice, a polymer like zaino, how does the pricing compare with zaino?

One of the reasons...

One of the reasons I went with Klasse instead of Zaino was the price...most e-tailers sell both Klasse components in kit form for around $35.00, which often includes microfiber sponge applicators and a couple of microfiber buffing cloths. It is extremely versatile...paint, metal, clearcoat, glass and plastic can all be treated with the AIO and SG with no clouding or staining effects. Like Zaino, it is applied very thinly...they say it's ideal to use 1-1.5 ounces per vehicle! The bottles should last a long while.

The Zaino system is more complete, however. Klasse does not have a wash/soap, nor does it have a swirl-type remover/filling agent. Also, they do not have a Klasse-branded quick detailer, but there is one from Sonus (German brand, like Klasse) that has the same acyllic polymer formula.

As far as shine goes, I belong to a detailer forum called Autopia, and many there have experience with both lines. Zaino, because it is virtually opticaly clear, has a very transperent, glass-like shine. Klasse gives a shine that has a bit more depth to it and is more on the "liquid" side...not as much "flash" to it when compared to the Zaino. Protection is very similar in terms of quality and can vary depending on the user since both systems can be layered and since both are polymer-based. Knowing what I know now about Zaino, and after seeing a buddy's '02 Imola Red M3 Zainoed out, if my car was red (my 2nd choice), I'd have gone for the Zaino!

I think both lines are truly outstanding...they have a protection and shine to them that makes it hard for me to put in the "work" a traditional carnuba wax requires.

Klasse makes the best cleaner/ polish in the world-bar none and i've used them all. Used Klasse on my black Mercedes for 6 years with great results> even made my yellow RX-8 look better. Results are much more dramatic on a black, dark red or even Tit-grey color scheme.
