Negative comments are not difficult to shrug off because if one is sincerely doing something for oneself, little else matters or will affect their opinion
I know you (probably) didn't intend it to come off as such but not everyone will do something just to be "cool;" If anything, I would be more inclined to consider myself an antithesis to the idea of "cool." I listen to music no one has heard of, wear clothes not many others wear, and typically gravitate towards things of that nature. On the contrary, I also recognize the value of image and first appearance, thus the reason this isn't my daily ride. (I can't imagine being in traffic with this thing, let alone on a daily schedule! Play time only for this car...) With all of the variability in car modifications, its nearly an art, as I'm sure you can agree. Each and every particular artist has different ideas and concepts in their mind and the car is the canvas. I suspect if you were to understand what I have in mind for the car, you wouldn't consider it trying too hard to look uber JDM. I was strongly leaning towards the full vertex kit, front sides and rear, lip spoiler, dark tint, with a painted vented hood, along with these takata wheels. I've owned this car for 3 and a half years and plan on owning it a much longer time. I've got time to try out a few different looks
I actually have posted numerous times about the hood tilt and my theory of how the air circulates when the battery/intake tray are removed (w/MS/aem cai). Can't blame you for questioning the rice factor though.
I really enjoy a good discussion like this, its reminiscent of when I used to have talks on photography with friends. Varying opinions are what make the world go 'round and its a real tell of character to see those who can debate tastefully and respectfully!
edit: Can you tell I just took a Philosophical/Political Theory midterm? DEEEEEP! hahaha

Last one - not exactly a proper photo but I thought it shows a better overview of the car.
As far as the hood tilt, I've had it, in addition to other cooling mods, for optimal bay temps. If there is something small such as that, that will aid in any way, its worth the slight cosmetic sacrifice, IMO. Lets just say this, any hate generated for that reason will be more or less invalid next time you see my car
Lastly, I can't wait to ditch these monster truck profile tires

These wheels have the most concave possible of any cr kai (deepest concave).
I have a few pics I never really edited, maybe I'll post them up.
Just do you guys know, I no longer own these wheels, I moved on to 18x10.5 +22 Prodrive gc-010g's...
