I love it. I wish I had a neutral colored car to run obnoxious colored wheels on. Keep it up. I ran candy red wheels on a silver dumped wrx, and I loved it. Other hated it. Too bad I have a VR...

Last one - not exactly a proper photo but I thought it shows a better overview of the car.
As far as the hood tilt, I've had it, in addition to other cooling mods, for optimal bay temps. If there is something small such as that, that will aid in any way, its worth the slight cosmetic sacrifice, IMO. Lets just say this, any hate generated for that reason will be more or less invalid next time you see my car
Lastly, I can't wait to ditch these monster truck profile tires

I've debated it back and forth in the thread dedicated to the mod, I'm pretty sure I was one of the first rx8s to do it. Trendy for early 90's import cars, not so much for fluid, smooth lined rx8s.

Ok, i read the first page and know for a fact the specs on the wheels are BS.
I don't even think CR Kai's come in those specs.
ANYWAYS - Love the stance - love the rim and tires specs (I'm a fan of beefy tire profiles) - not a fan of the hood - not a fan of the fender work - But i can really see Tilt's car coming together quite nicely. It's a really bold move considering most WWP go with either Broze, gold or black wheels. It's nice to see something different- props for going in a different direction.
Keep it up Tilt. HELLA FLUSH!

i love every bit of it, the wheels and the hood. where did you get the hood rise spacers.
has there ever been any proof of the rise letting all the heat out efficiently?

Thanks guys, didn't know this was still getting views.
AWJay - I picked up some extended bolts + some proper diameter washers from OSH. Much easier to install with a friend but definitely doable by yourself.
Aww, someone edited out some of the funny tags

i feel his first set up was way better then what he has now. i dont understand whats makes a person want to paint their wheels with bright colors (must be my age), and what makes a person want to use track tires as DD tires (must be my age). also waht is up with his hood (must be my age)?
if you where to go on a date with some hot chick, would you wear a bright fluorescent green shirt with some bright fluorescent pink pants? most likely not. so why any one would do something like tc did to his car is beyond me (must be my age). but these are my opinons (must be my age) . if me, i would painted them a darker green color (must be my age). but since its his car, as long he likes it that is all the matters.

Alfy, typically you are on top of your stuff but how did you miss the not DD stuff? I'm sure its not quite an age thing, I am a bit surprised you don't see where it's coming from, you often visit the jdm tyte autobacs thread...
Hate is fine, its quite clear that anything in one extreme or another is going to attract it. I think the clashing of different ideas (both great and not) in different areas are what help create a great car community. Its much like politics; if everyone agreed on everything, how fun would that be?
And though it has a relevance of about 2%, I typically tend to wear all dark colors :P ( understand what you were saying, I'm just playing around...)

for the dd comment, its my fault for not reading the ori ginal post, and just based my opinions off of pics. so that is my fault not reading.
as for the jdm comment, your right i do visit that thread alot. but most of the time i post that the car would look awesome without blah blah item etc. to be honest with you, i feel ppl over hype anything jdm.
i say this, because 1 i am half japanese who lived in japan for 17 years before moving the states at 21. i rarely seen cars that are overly done (most are track cars). even when i go home to visit family and friends every year, i rarely see these outlandish cars.
to me its okashi mitai. but that is just me. i feel that ppl in the US see these cars and think every one in japan does this, but its actually a small group of ppl who do (track drivers). most ppl have just a clean setup.
and i understand what you mean by fun, when i was 18 i painted my black watanabe's yellow that was on my dark blue fc. it was fun ( i didnt think it looked cool), until i started to be called a clown by my friends. now at 33 (next month) i cant see my self doing that.
now its cool to be different, but when a person (not saying you, just ppl in generarl) is trying to hard to be different, it tends to be overly done. the idea in that person head started off cool , but the excution of that idea went way over board.
the way i see cars, is a representation of the person owning it. when i see these ricers with gawdy items on their car, it only makes me wonder what the person was thinking. but then i realize, what they think is cool also might be cool to others. and that each person is different from me.
now your car is not like those gawdy ricers cars, but i do question the hood. are you using it for venting purposes? if so buy a hood with vents. i think it would look cleaner. first thing i thought about your hood is, i thought you was involved in a accident and decided not to fix that area.
but like i said earlier, others will like your car, and others will not. because what i think looks good, you may think the opposite.
i think its cool that you didnt go the route that every one does. i think its cool that you brush off the negative comments (from ppl like me) and do your own thing. so i respect that.
