I negotiated chrome rims as part of my original car deal last Oct. I traded in a Caracas Red Mitsubishi 3000GT SL w/ chrome rims so that was the look I was used to and preferred.

My Houston / Clear Lake dealer tells me they have sold 4 more RX-8s with chrome but I haven't seen any on the road yet. I want to get a look at the dark chrome too.

Here are some pix that I posted last november

Do you have any pictures posted of yours?

If you look at the thread about the "louvers" - that's my titanium RX8 that they used as a model for their louver project.

I don't much care for the louvers - but you can see my chrome rims which are the stock 18", chromed by the dealer.

Three words...

BAD A**S Wheels!!!

Question?
I wonder if they collect break dust as bad as the unpolished versions? Just curious...

My chrome rims probably collect dust just like the "plain" ones - but it sure doesn't show as much.....

I think I notice the brake dust MORE, now that I have the chrome wheels. I guess it's because they're so shiny when clean, they really look dull when dirty.

Oh yeah, I figured I'd squeeze in one last pic. (It IS the "Multimedia/ Photo Gallery, right?):D

I got my dark chrome wheels through my local dealer (I got the mad hook up :D ) But you can get the through Trussville or Rosenthal Mazda. Check them out in the Vendor section.
