Guess I am used to the filthy engine bay of my 1998 Ford Escort which gets doused in rust proofing chemicals once a year. It's pretty necessary up here in Ottawa. It paid off though... almost no rust on a 12 year old car. My 8 won't go through this though as it is for summers only. Phew.

^^^Hahhaa, seriously ....I got a $20 autozone card so I guess i can pick some cleaning products up! BTW...I am thinking of painting my intake either Brillian Black...Or Winning Blue... What do you guys think? Polished (I do like it a lot) but sometimes looks too Racey....And after going to the SPOCOM show this weekend. I seen that not a lot of people do Polished anymore they do carbon fiber, or matching paint.....For Example...Look at this 2JZ...

Ive never like polished because after a month or so it gets foggy and scrathes easily. Yeah sure you can polish it all the time but after a while it will even stain....

He's going to get a 10lb bag of sand, run the engine, take off the filter, and pour the sand into the intake. This is the proper way to port and polish your internals.

(Anybody remember the kid that did this to his car?)

Not really. That engine bay is ridiculous and makes me wonder about general maintenance.
