Sweet thanks. I'm more into power mods than looks anyways. When my rims get dirty they actually look like gunmetal rims. That's sick, the rx8 looks good even when dirty haha.

 

They make chrome Volks,WORKS,RAYS,ENKEIS so why not? just dont do 20's, i did because im going for show and i dont track my car. 18's or 19's would be nice.

Yeah im gonna do the fender vents also. Do the fender vents but not the wheel wells, Plus its not cool when u can see the LEDS or neons, it looks tacky but mine as you can tell from my side pics day/night are wells hidden.

Yea that's what I was thinking about getting some enkeis. But I do love the stock rims. What if I paint my rims chrome? A lot of owners paint there rims with great success.

 

can't really paint them chrome. you should paint them a darker metallic gray though.

 

There are stock Rims that come in chrome. Call Mazda or look on eBay.

 

Chrome isnt a paint and is a highly toxic proccess, which should only be done by professionals
The OE wheels you are talking about are not chrome they are polished with a clear coat...

Yeah they are nice, i think DOMINION is not the only one. BTW, the blue is a little off from our factory color, however i think it;d be best to match the lip Winning Blue, I am when i decide what other wheels i want.

 

im gonna keep it black and blue theme, im getting rid of the chrome door handles, and getting WB strakes. And since i have 2tone black and blue interior i think it would look pretty damn sweet. Do you have an idea of what kind of rims do you want to get Zumn?

hate to tell you this but mazda does have what they
call dark chrome rims. i have them on my car, and yes they are
chrome not polished. check one of the dealer sites and this will
confirm what i said..

 

Black and blue is tight. Im going everything Winning Blue, I just love the metallic color, i have all black leather interior. These are the ones i want, and they are 20" Rays, not sure the name of them, I took the pic at PANN MOTORSPORTS in San Diego, CA. I want them in chrome, polished, or chrome lip and gunmetal spokes. You dont want Chrome door handles? Ill trade you my WB handles for your Chrome ones, that is if they are not all scratched up. These wheels have a huge 6 inch lip. THey are 3 piece.

 

Thank you for confirming my statement. I know they were chrome because the dealer had asked me if i wanted to trade my stock greys for the chrome and $300, but i said no because i knew i was gonna get bigger ones.

Dam that is ******* crazy! REALLY NICE, those are the ENKEIS i wanted a while back, i posted two different enkeis but never bought them. DAM all black Enkeis look hella tight on ur car. Now just some sides preferable MS with stock front

 

Gunmetal FTW! The chrome handles I got from ebay. They are those that just go over the existing handle with double sided tape. They r cheap and look good. You can have them if you pay for shipping. Shouldn't be more than $5. I will get pics soon.

 

does the clearcoat on my factory aluminum wheels need to be sanded off before i can paint them? im staying with the black n blue theme as well and the "grey" rims just arent cutting it
