That's an AutoExe wing and it's in full CF so no one in the right mind would actually paint it body colour

Oh and it ain't an R3 either. That's a basic facelift model with AutoExe front bumper, R3 sideskirts.

 

...not sure whats wrong with painting carbon fiber, its done all the time. I also agree that the wing would look better painted, but its not my car.

Well some people, like myself, love the look of CF in its natural form.

 

altspace dont get me wrong, on the right cars carbon fiber looks AMAZING, but to say someone is not in there right mind to paint carbon fiber is pretty out there. just stating my opinion here and maybe its the cars that drive around here with carbon fiber on them and they scream RICE....

disclaimer: i am not sayin the 2009 rx8 pictured above is RICE nor any other rx8 on here, infact i agree that the rx8 above is extremely nice, and personally i like the look of the 04s better, but the one above is clean

 

i second that. and its kinda hard to pull off on the Vr i think. if your going with the cf look then i need the hood and trunk and other stuff other wise it kinda looks outta place... just my thought

 

Well it's just my opinion of course, but one's paying alot more for original carbon fibre stuff, and to paint over it doesn't make sense to me. If u want body colour, why not get fibre parts instead? They cheaper and at the same time not much heavier.

Unless you're talking about pure CF, but painting over those will be a nightmare. The weaves will show through the paint and it's ugly. Just my experience, may not hold true for all instances of course

Same here. I coat them with red anodized paint. Which I need to do again once I take them off and put the winters on.

 

hey i was wondering if anyone could help me out or give me some info... my car has felt like its bogged down lately and is having a hell of a time starting. its been goin on for a week now. and ideas why?

What if its only a VR problem

 

the clear coat that was specially applied on top of your velocity red painted rx8 was applied wrong and is causing your rx8 not to start properly...i tried. ha ha

check out the tech garage as stated.

 

I painted my hood and my front bumper....Oh ya your right, I'm no where near being in my right mind......Paint that spoiler..
