I have no problem with you 9K or Powertrix, just dont understand why you have to start. Why the comment? Your contribution did nothing here.

Public forum, that is the way it works. Why do think he commented? Just to read it to himself quietly? How else do people learn what products are shitty and what products are not? No, it's probably better that we all sugar coat **** just to be nice right?

Your right, do as you please. No, I did not say anything about sugar coating. You have clearly stated your opinion on certian brands. Awesome, Im glad you can provide this community with that information. You also stated that this is a well documented subject. If you think this, there was no need for input, nice or not. Simply just remarks to get other members panties in a bunch.

Just because something is well documented doesn't mean someone has read it. **** 95% of threads started on the internet are rehashing the same **** from the week before.

I don't get offended I'm pretty used to reading his shitty remarks/ statements. Just wondering what hes running for coilovers because even tho he is an ******* he sure does know his **** about this car. I'm not trying to be offensive so don't take this the wrong way 9k, I was just working with the cash that I had being a 27 year old returning to college and working 30 hrs a week. I was just seeing if since they sent everyone new lower pillowball mounts if they would send new springs or let me upgrade to the swift springs for a hell of a deal. So far powertrix has had some awesome customer service tho, so I can't say too much bad about them unlike many companies ive dealt with like turboxs. Retards can't even get a gasket kit right after sending me the wrong one 4 times.

I got the front to a nice drop but I cant seem to get the back to drop a little lower I've already exhausted the bottom piece to where it won't spin no more, is there another adjustment that I have to mess with like the front or do I need the helper spring?

I don't take it the wrong way, I can be a huge *******, and I totally understand being broke and into modding cars, I have been at it for 20 years and in the beginning I was broke as a joke and still managed to have a clean, fast car. POWERTRIX does have good customer support and that is great, and so does Stance (same coilovers), but that doesn't make the product any better and that doesn't satisfy those who do not do their own work and have to pay to get their coilovers uninstalled and repaired and it doesn't make it any less of a pain in the *** for those who have to do the work themselves. I am sure replacing the bushings, etc is a huge pain in the *** for those who do not have the tools or the knowledge to replace those parts themselves. And I would bet my left nut that there are a ton of Powertrix and Stance owners running around on blown out rear damper bushings.

I have Stance coilovers so I know about all of these issues first hand and I have replaced parts and installed/removed three sets of Powertrix coilovers and all of them had premature bushing failure after very low mileage.

I just don't get why people get butt hurt when you tell it like it is, it's not personal, it' just the facts. I am sure many would like to be aware of any issues before purchasing. If you are aware of the problems and still choose to buy them then great, you have no reason to complain when issues arise (been there, done that). But I know three people personally who had issues with these who wished they had just saved a few hundred more and gotten a decent set of proven coilovers like the Bilstein PSS9's, etc.

The one thing I am thankful for is the fact that I can pretty much do anything to this car myself, I'm pretty mechanically inclined when it comes to remove and replace and building things. Now with trying to figure out why my truck won't run is a different story, something is horribly wrong with the timing. New gears and chain, new distributor and messed with all of it. Everything is dead on, had 3 mechanics look at it and they can't even figure it out so I just blew 450 on a new engine for it out of my income tax so I can blow the rest of my income tax on a new paint job for my car since apparently the paint on these cars is equivalent to f'ing garbage. All the paint peeled from my rockers from the road I live on being tarred and chipped and right after I bought it 4 years ago someone walked up over top of it denting the roof hood and decklid so im fixing it all in one go and changing the color, which will cost me next to nothing because before I decided to go back to school I was the assistant painter at a body shop for 5 years.. Hopefully I'll be able to afford some better quality wheels than my xxrs someday but I'm still trying to decide what I would even want. I figure get it to the color and suspension I want since I've got most of the decent mods; bhr coils, rb oil lines, and no catalytic converter. I want something lightweight, and I've kept my car at a height where it doesnt affect driveability. My rears rub but I don't scrape anything and I can barely fit a finger in the wheel gaps. But being poor and trying to mod it sucks big time.

My paint looks great after over 10 years. It's actually one thing I really love about this car. But one thing at a time man, it will come together.

Thats what im going for. I cracked over 100k and decided I wasn't gonna part with it so after a few weeks of spray out cards I decided to go with nissan midnight purple pearl with my own little twist on it. Maybe I got a bad paint job all I know is even the chip guard on the rockers flew off to bare metal. After this I'll barely drive it to save for more parts and run my junky s10

they just need another alignment to get the flush look, when i 1st installed these and took it to the alignment shop my camber was sitting at -4.10 and the toe was wayyy off. But since i get free alignments anyways the guy just wanted to do the alignment a little at a time. Right now i sit at -3 with no issues....

You mean valving, stiffness is determined by the spring rate.

Stiffness can also refer to damper settings...

Maybe if we were talking about real coilovers where the adjustments actually did anything beneficial (like adjust rebound and compression with any sort of accuracy).

Yeah I mean valving. I'm new to the whole setting up suspension thing. Your coilovers are stance and are pretty comparable to powertrix right?

Yep exact same ones. I don't bother adjusting them, it doesn't do jack **** for handling. The stiffer Swift springs make them bearable but that is about it. I will be installing PSS9's soon.
