I'd like to know the same thing about what number mine is..
If I figure it out I'll let you know. A friend suggested looking all around inside the car,
(His STI has a plate stating his # ) in the manual, paperwork, inside of doors or asking the dealership to look up the VIN #

Kind of hard to appreciate the contrast from that angle.

Could you take a pic under direct sunlight when the car is not under a tree/shade?

This might motivate me to get some tint for mine

At least it'll be easy to remove without damage to the car.

Awesome!

Thanks for the pics. I think this is the first time I see a 40th AE with black emblems. Looks very good.

I might get some tint in my car after the winter

SAME! i havnt seen any modified 40AE's! i dont know if i should black mine out, i think it might look weird with the stock rims in silver, what do you guys think? if i had black rims it would look awsum though.

I think it would look better with the black wheels.

I'm also thinking the tint probably has a sharper contrast with the black wheels on that car as well.

NP and Thanks. this is the first car i have owned that had window tint, I really like it.

i did the plasti dip method on the badges, theres a thread on it doing it here but i followed the method from a Lexus form as i did it before it was posted here. i plan on doing some follow up picks after the winter to see how they held up.

Okay guys, like many of you have already thought about... Mazdaspeed....

My conclusion is this: nobody has our color so finding used parts will be difficult. Which is further complicated because i have never seen ANY bodykit on a metro gray...

So maybe keep it modest and just get the MS spoiler??
Conclusion: Authentic fit nice, downside is finding one and painting it, looking at spending 1k.
replicas suck and cost 500-800 to have it painted and fitted nicely.
Conclusion: Carbon fiber ms wing replica fits great and is $500-550.

WILL A CF MS WING LOOK OUT OF PLACE ON OUR CAR???

I like, i would like to get that but i have the app pckg so -__-

Im going to start doing some autox this spring and i see pics of hard turning and people almost scraping their bumpers WITHOUT the oem lip... will i wreck my lip?

How well does our suspension work compared to other rx8's?

Im getting myself PT sways for my birthday and my gf is getting me eyelids

If you guys PM me, i can link you to cheap eyelids on ebay, my friend has them on his VR and they are so nice, they're basically Kei office replicas. I think its like 19.99 and 20 shipping and they're painted.

OH and i forgot to tell you guys i got the RaceRoots single exit exhaust. I love it

Just purchased a set of eyelids off ebay for 39bucks shipped for my birthday on feb 17.

My friend has the same pair in VR and they are spot on, they take 2 or 3 weeks to receive them.

not sure if posting ebay links is allowed but................

Oh and i decided to not get sway bars and to save for rims. Im looking at Varrstoen TE37 replicas for 900 bucks. I trust their quality over Rota and XXR, and at 18x9.5+30 they weigh in at 19,20lbs.

Long time no see... I took this last week and it came out very nice and decided to share it with you all. Sorry she's dirty
For those who are wondering, this was taken in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. The building is a battery potter and dates back to 1890

can you guys post a picture of your front mud guard? preferably a pic clean and one dirty?

im looking at buying a set off a member but it really doesnt look like my color. It looks more galaxy gray than my color. He says he bought it off a evolv member with 40th gray paint.

As others suggested, I would just bite the bullet and buy one from Mazda. A little more money, but worth the try IMO.

I've been holding back on the idea of spending money with body kit parts for now. But they certainly add life to the 40th AE! I guess the paint color is so unique, it really looks great on those accessories.
