Anyone else find it odd that the Shinka doesn't include a navigation system? My RX-8 isn't even Grand Touring and even mine has nav in it. I'm pretty sure the Copper Red Shinka I looked at the other day lacked nav.

 

Don't recall seeing it in the one I looked at either.

 

While generally I'm not a big fan of red ,I do think that Copper Red is a pretty attractive color.

 

It was not on the one that I saw.

 

Shinka's come with 6cd changer and sirius sat radio free for a year....9 sp Bose

 

nope no nav but atleast it comes with the moonroof

Didn't know it could open automatically, I just press the button and it opens if I'm carrying the key card. I'm having the dealer activate the auto lock feature as I had a look in the owners' manual and it said only the stealership can do it...

I'm new to the forum after getting my 2006 RX-8 with GT package this week. Right now the dealer is installing the side flares, spoiler, front air dam and a 6 cd changer...oh yeah and also trying to find out what the annoying rattle is coming from the instrument cluster.

Awesome, as i posted in another forumn, the dealer is telling me this is a "charge" service...as in they want me to $$$ a setup fee.

Any chance you can ask them how to do it...or a photocopy of the instructions...i'm sure they work from an instruction sheet :-D

You would think that Mazda would include everything that comes in a fully loaded RX-8 + all the extra Shinka ****, like all the other car manufacturers do for their "special" edition vehicles.

 

the rx-8's in japan include everything. just the u.s. shinka's are watered down.

It still makes absolutely no sense to me that you can not get the Nav in the Shinka . . . I can not think of any reason what so ever that it would not be an option.

Copper red RX rules. I almost broke my neck when i saw one on the road for the first time last week.

Wanted a 7 since 1998, just made my dream come true today with a 2006 Copper Red Shinka and couldnt be happier.

Thanks man. I didn't took the pictures of the car. All I did was I just took screenshots of the background from the japanese mazda website. Its covered with japanese texts so i edited them in PS and presented them as a nice clean wallpapers.

I've been looking at the Rx-8 for 3 years and finally decided I had to have one. I couldn't be happier. I've owned a Mercedes c230, an Audi S4 and have come to the conclusion that sedans don't even come close. The Rx-8 is perfectly balanced in every way. The gearbox is amazing, handling is exceptional, the car is just plain exciting to drive. Had torque in my S4 and did not enjoy it as much as this. I love it. Here are some pics.

its avilable as an option on the Shinkas in Japan. I'm pretty sire I've seen pics of a copper red shinka with Nav

wait wait wait.... i thought the shinkas came with the polished wheels??? those aren't polished.... hmmm... oh well..

 

The copper red is absolutely stunning. I didnt like it at first because I'm not a big fan of Red ( except on a ferrari), but i ended up getting the Cooper red since it is the only color available in Canada that comes with Alcantara and i really realy want the alcantara. After having the cars for a few days now I am aboslutely IN LOVE with cooper red, I cant take my eyes off it and neither could other people on the road/street.

Even my mom said the color is beautiful :D

 

Can someone post pics about the start switch and the buttom on the door handle? I more interested in the interior in general about the Shinka. Thank you.
