Copper red's

Does anyone know how many 06 copper red's were actually produced or at least how many 06 Shinka's were made in that year.

And what I was saying, which I think may be true, is that each year the Shinka was only one color, I could be wrong but I think thats right...

If anyone is interested, here's the build numbers in Excel format. Makes it alot easier to sort on the VIN and find your car.

Not true, 05 Shinkas Cherry Black, Copper Red was the true Shinka for 06 because that was the only year it was produced, but it came out in other "normal" colors in 06. My buddy has a black Shinka 06.

KWarner04- thanks for the information. I found my VIN!
I think AJ is right about the other colors available for the shinka's; which I still wonder how many copper reds are out there (of the 1,500 shinka's produced).
AJ- are you saying that the copper red was only available in 06 and not any other years?

^^ ET, That is exactly what AJ meant. The CR color available only in '06. As far as the color totals, If Mazda divided the four colors available to the Shinka in 06 evenly there are 375 per color.

PRETTY RARE.... when you consider typical auto production numbers. hold onto your CR Shinka's

Etorone, yours was built the day before mine... A cool piece of info to have in the logistics of it all.

Of course mine is in the middle of its 4th repaint. 3 fender benders and hail damage.......She's not worth much to anyone but me, but thats' all I worry about.

but once you finish it I'm sure it will be. will you keep it copper red?
maybe we can ultimently get a count of the CR's by member once every shinka posts his production number.

It will always be Copper Red. One day maybe a candy copper red with a BC flip? Best of both worlds!

I've got #724, and she's Copper Red for those counting. 'Tis a thing of beauty!

Except a bird crapped down the center-line yesterday at work. Now I must go wash my baby.

I downloaded the excel chart but am too lazy to look up my vin...
anyways
here's a quick on of my car first wash taken sometime early spring

Yea, i noticed that the top strake is off a bit. I had to take the Fender vent out to re-tighten the screws to straighten it out.
Think i want to change from Copper Red Strakes to Glossy Black Strakes not sure yet but i saw black strakes on a VR and they look pretty sharp so...

Copper Red sure is a nice color.

You can lower the top strake. A different hole may make it look straighter.

Finally got around to taking a few pics once I gave her a nice wash and put on her new shoes.

I like how the tree above reflected on the hood...

And a shot with the wheels....

Thanks for the advice. but all it really needed was for the one screw to be re-tightened a bit.

Shaftski- nice pics, rims looks nice on the Copper Red. any thoughts about adding clears corners?
