Re: Calling all Black Cherry Shinkas!!!!
Fellow Shinka owner from Northridge, CA. This is my 2005 Shinka with 41,756 miles on it.
The silly green box with all the horsepower adding decals in the back is my workhorse. She's a 2005 Honda Element with almost 116,000 miles still running strong... Love that car.
Yes, my license plate is messed up; car was previously rear ended several months ago on the I-405 during heavy traffic causing mostly cosmetic damage... I'm just too lazy to go to AAA to get a new plate. In addition for those who may be wondering, I'm running a Borla cat-back exhaust.
Mounted my gunmetal MB Battles three days ago. Specs are 18" with a +38 offset paired with Bridgestone ER33 Turanza 255/40/R18. My current plans are to get Tokico D-Spec Shocks and Tein H. Tech springs. I'm not after a slammed look; just aiming to lessen the gap while retaining near stock ride quality. Other future plans are to get my polyurethane lip painted soon before I put it on and buy a Lebren rotor accent light along with the accents to finalize the look a bit. As well as remove the catalytic converter and buy a Racing Beat dual-resonated mid-pipe to pair with my Borla. I'm not sure on what else I would be doing to the car afterwards aside from hopefully taking it to future track days.

Oooh, I like your black cherry. Only 41K miles??? Lucky you. Mine's at 76K. I really like your plans to get Tokico D-Spec Shocks and Tein H. Tech springs in order to lessen the gap while retaining near stock ride quality. I would love to do that to mine. No $ for mods.
Bummer about the rear enders.
If you could resize your photos...they are a bit large for the forum.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I keep reading mixed reviews on using the Tein springs though; it either improves or ruins the stock handling... It's making me reconsider on lowering it now. Sorry about the extremely large pictures as well, I'll re-size my photos for future posts next time.

Had my Shinka for about 4 months now. I got it because I LOVE the color and didn't want to get a non shinka then paint it black cherry mica. These are pics from a photo shoot my brother did in September. My I bought the car with a lot of paint imperfections ,but these pics hide them well :D
I have alot of plans for this car over the next 3-4 years, one being getting my paint refinished.
If you like the photography work check out his facebook page at facebook.com/UnitedOctane, and his new website UnitedOctane.com.
We will be at DGRR this year so look out for us!
Enjoy!
