I picked up this 05 Shinka last November. I really enjoy running in B Stock class for Autocross so I havent done any mods yet. Sorry the pics are so big.

Black Cherry Mica Speed 6 owner. Gotta love this unique " one year only color. Looks so nice on the RX8, Miata, and the 6. Heck, I even saw a CX-7 in this color, and it looks fabulous.

I woulnd't mind a Shinka version on my Speed 6. That two tone interior, ect ect would be fabulous on my car. Gotta love the Shinka. Had it came out way back when the RX8 first came out and I bought mine, I'd have been all over it.

yeah...i feel the same way about the color...

btw...my son has a WWP speed 6 and he loves it....unless its over 90deg...in which case, the turbo is sluggish...

my blower doesnt like the heat either....she performs much better in 60-70 degree temps!!

No doubt this car lags under extreme heat, but that's what turbo cars do afterall. I like it because unlike my STI, it goes into a protection mode, which causes the sluggishness. The STI just fights for power til the bitter end, but it can be a bad for engine. When it cools off and you have the best fuel in it, this car really moves well. I am in the minority, but overall the car is just nicer then an STI IMO. I can't see ever spending 10 grand more for that car as a daily. I am in love with my Mazdaspeed 6, and the color, although a pain in the butt to keep clean, just has a uniqueness I truly love.

Of course the price I paid for it is a big part of why I love it ($23500 last July, and $23k for trade in on my 04 STI with 28k miles), and having an S2000 for fun. The car was literally a STEAL imo.

05 Shinka

these are the only pictures I have without smoke coming off the tires. Figured this seemed to be a more controlled, calm, collected group.

As usual.........very nice. Car colors don't get much nicer than our Black Cherry.
Get compliments all the time.
Zano is a wonderful way to "wax"

Thanks.... but thats not zano.... i use a product called liquid glass... its about $35 per bottle, but you can do a car about 10 times with it before it runs out... its the best thing i have ever found, and the easiest.... wipe it one, wait a few... wipe it off. Very easy to wipe off. its bonds Chemicly to the paint/clearcoat and looks amazing IMO. I can do the whole car in about an hour. And it lasts for months. I have been using it since I was about 16 or 17... and I am 37 now.

Yep, been around quite awhile, but cool none the less. Coincidentally, my '05 MT was built exactly a year before I took [new] delivery.

I'm number 815 on the Shinka list. Mazda should have provided certificates or something with our cars, IMO.

Yours is by far..one of the very few Shinkas that I am very impressed with. I've been meaning to tell ya... It's also my favorite color of the Shinka.

Shinka wheels - help.

I posted another thread about how my wheels got messed up. Does anyone know or have access to the color code for our wheels?

Here's the sad story:

How do I know what number and birthday my Shinka is? Not that I really care but it'd be nice to know.

PICTARRRRRRRRRRRS!

P.S. I have front clears now.
