Man oh man that is a nice color! I am almost jealous, but not quite. I got my '05 Shinka about a month ago, and I absolutely love it! Congratulations, and welcome.

 

Congrats on your new ride. I just got mine a couple of months ago and I love it. I haven't had a chance to take any good pics yet - still waiting for the snow to melt. I will post them as soon as I can though.

 

Nice pics! And the color, wow! Always thought that the black cherry mica color that Shinka's have was unique, but I parked next to a Lexus the other day that had the exact same color! Couldn't believe my eyes. Oh well.
BTW: on the pics, what are those little "bumps" under each headlight? Is that some aerodynamic thingy, or what?

 

The "bumps" under the headlight are the power headlight washers. they pop out and spray the lights with washer fluid. Not available in the US.

 

Damn! Okay, what do we (U.S.) ever get that isn't available anywhere else? Seems like everybody else gets the cool stuff.

Hehe, yeah, I haven't actually seen the headlight washers working, I'll have to get someone else to operate them while I get out to watch

I'm sure the thread has been renamed because of the fact that there are now several Shinka colors. Looks like the mods believe every color should get its own thread. (Which makes sense, because the point of all the "Calling all color" threads is so that you can quickly check out how the 8 looks in a color you're considering—or a color you like. You'll notice there's no "Calling all Touring Packages" thread.)

 

You get several colors in one:
• In sunlight, it's the color of Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry Cream Soda.
• When it's cloudy, it's Chocolate.
• When it's dirty, it's ugly brown.
• And at night, it's brilliant black!

 

do you really think we need to have 5 more threads for each shinka color??
especially since WE are a limited edition???? I hardly think that relating this to the GT package makes any sense at all

 

Had my new 2005 Black Cherry Shinka for a month now (just got in under the March 31, 2006 incentives deadline - great deal!!). The thrill is more than still there. In fact the days I take my Jeep now just seem so blah by comparison. Everyone loves the color. And the lighter color seats, which I like, do indeed keep the interior cooler. All I've added myself thus far are 3rd party color matched stakes and a gas cap retainer. I'm still debating adding an after market Nav system.
