Oh so nice! It's pretty hard to capture the color of the Shinka. From a distance, they look black, closer up they are a little brown, but get the light just right, and she has that beautiful root-beer sparkle.

Ohhh, now that gives me an idea. Wonder how that'd look on a decal in the rear window?

 

Well -- most Shinkas are all going to look pretty much the same - I am glad you guys don't all live in my town

Anyways I just got the plates from Maine state prison - the prisoners make them in this state - see attached picture - I just put a coat of "Liquid Glass' on top of the dealer installed "Resistall" (by Cal-tex) sealant. I must admitt there is nothing wrong with this liquid Glass stuf - it looks really good with a deep shine - easy to put on.

Of course the Shinka Black Cherry is the best color I have ever seen on a car - one of the main reasons I bought this RX8. Also love the ride and handling - much better than my BMW Z3 - the longer wheelbase helps alot plus a much better suspension overall.


Most people ask me what kind of car is it and then "what does Shinka " mean.

I just sat in a new limited edition Miata and I saw something interesting above the gear shift...

They have a plaque that says ???/3500. Why the hell do they get an edition number...Jealous, YES I AM.

 

It's a conspiracy. Someone at the plant knew there would be a fire, therefore the full 2150 wouldn't be made, so we couldn't bitch if there was a plaque that said ???/2150.....because there wouldn't be 2150. That, my friend, is why we don't have a plaque.

I already voted!!!.....for #1....yikes....it was more realistic than 4 or 5....
and guess what....I didnt like #3 so I didnt even pay attention to the parchment...didnt even realize it was a shinka....I should be punished...lol

PS....had I been paying more attention to the lounge I would have posted pics of my shinka.....I think there would have been a better choice for the vote!!

Well I wanted to post and show of my new sig...took a lot of work to cut it from the image of my B pillar, but here it is. I am actually making a stencil, so it is part of a much larger project.
