Calling all Black Cherry Shinkas
New to the family
Well on Friday I took the plunge and bought my rx8 -- been wanting one for 2 years. I bought a black cherry 2005 Shinka and traveled 1200 miles to get it haha, but it was worth every second. I'll post some pics after my parts that I ordered show up and I have them installed.
Just yesterday on the way home I got behind a shiny black panel truck at a stoplight which nicely reflected the front end and I remarked to myself 'damn this is a good lookin' machine.'
Here is an updated picture on my baby. I find myself when driving past the outlets in a dead stare in the stores glass everytime I go by. Love the car, love the color, even though mine seems to be a little darker then the rest.

Yeah haha, Out of all the rx8's the black cherry and the white were my favorite colors. I got some plans underway to make those grills look less lonely :O.. I'll have to have some custom parts made for the plan tho - good thing my friend is a machinist
I wanted to post up the latest pictures of my Shinka, now that she is turbocharged, methanol injected, with new wheels, tires, brakes, brake lines, rotors, and exhaust. I finally have the car how I envisioned it when I started making mods.

If there are other turbocharged Shinka's can you re-post your pictures or link me your album. I'm really curious if there are any other turbocharged '05 Shinkas.

Yeah I really wish I had it then too, but its alright... it would have sucked driving a turbocharged 6spd in bridge traffic. I'll have it out at a meet soon though. I won't be at the PA one, but probably the meet after that.

then he asks me if i want the complimentary car wash ....uh it's mica paint, is that a hand wash deal? he says no....then i have to tell him that we can't do a machine wash on it.

do they know anything about these cars?????
Actually, the salesfolk at my dealership are always impressed by the BCMica paint, but I typically have to remind them of the color name (and that's with an '09 Mazda6 in somewhat similar black cherry metallic on their showroom floor).
