button willow track day pictures

went out to buttonwillow raceway park on saturday and took some photos in between sessions

just wanted to share, i've uploaded all of these photos on my blog, feel free to cruise over to

http://www.canyonrats.net

my buddy's s2k, i sat in his car on the first session for purple and he spun out at over 85mph, fun times, and this is the result

saw this nice r3 parked across from us, the driver was in the purple group also, and pulling in some decent times, anyone here?

some miatas

this one is also my friends miata, he was having issues inbetween sessions, like power steering blowing up haha

spec mx-5, the owner was very nice, and he was telling us about how mazda seals the engine so the internals can not be worked on,

some pretty hardcore civics, running on r comps

s2000s are a common sight at bw

this lancer was owned my a scotman with the best accent possible, and possibly one of the most hardcore evo's i've seen in person, he competes in timeattack

some random other cars

and probably the coolest group of cars i saw that way was the vipers, there were alot of them, and only one or two still seemed like they were street driven, the rest looks like they eat the track for breakfast, i managed to pass one btw

and after all that, i realized i never took a picture of my own car

so here is me, with some crazy body lean

Awesome pics. I love cars that are actually driven and are not garage Queens.

haha I'd suggest starting out on crappy tires and upgrade to some cheaters later, honestly though it doesn't really matter whats on your car, one time a bunch of us went out to streets of willow and we all got smoked by an instructorin a honda pilot.

my friend whos also an instructor and races in Porsche spec series ran a 2:15 at button willow in a stock vw toureg, thats the same time my other buddy pulls in his s2000 with bridgestone re11s and kwv3 coilovers

Hey there, sorry to bump, but I was curious what was your time at Buttonwillow? Any modifications done to your car?

Oh and would you happen to know what the R3 was running?
