Autocross videos with the Stickypod.
I was going to put these in the autocross section, but they are videos, and not really "Autocross discussion".
I'm not looking for driving critiques or tips. This was just for fun, and I know my driving skills need improvement.
I'll probably update these later w/ the times, but for know just know that I have the fastest times possible that day in my car.
Also, run 12 has a spin-out
Enjoy.
This was a practice event at California Speedway on Apr 22nd, 2006.
Here are the links to the videos with the run #, times, and location of the stickypod.
4th run 58.303 - Center of the hood
9th run 57.485 - Driverside door
10th run 57.785 - Driverside door
11th run 57.426 - Rear Passenger side above wheel well.
12th run 63.488 - Spin-out Alert!!! - Rear Passenger side above wheel well.
16th run 56.869 - On the roof, slightly off center.

NICE videos, and some nice runs too. My first video has the camera on the inside, bouncing a little too much. So you like the stickypod? What other things did you have to do to secure it? A pic of the setup perhaps?

On the video from the hood, the straps are totally loose. They had several inches of slack. I attribute the steady picture to the 4 suction cups.
I'll take a couple of pics of the setups tomorrow if I have a chance.
The setup I bought was the Sticky Pod ProPak.
The 4 suction cups are incredibly strong. I followed the directions and washed them with soap and hot water, plus made sure the car was very clean where it was sticking. I only used the 6" extension and a knuckle for the side shots, and just a knuckle on the rest.

Sorry this pic took so long. I have 2 from the Autocross day, and 1 from our San Bernardino meet this past Saturday.
The setup on the side is a great angle. On Saturday, I drove for 30min straight and got up to 90mph a couple of times, (of course it was a closed course w/ a professional driver), but it never budged. I checked it when we stopped, and the suction cups didn't move.

Wow thanks for getting back. The setup looks great. Didn't you have it mounted inside at one point? I looked a the vinyl surface on the back deck and on top of the dashboard and I'm not sure the suction cups would stay since the surface doesn't look that smooth.

I can mount it to a window, and using the accessories that came in the setup I bought, I can have the camera rightside up, even though the base is upside down.
I just went outside and did this setup. Here's the pics.
Also, go Sticky Pod website to look at the pics. Go where is says, "Need more??? If you gotta see more, click here", tons of pics of different setups.
