Replica rims are cheap for a reason, none of them go through any test. The manufacture can state whatever they like. Seen couple of replica gone wrong on the street, and it's not even on the track..i think my personal safety is worth much more than that...

Yeah those GTR wheels are quality for sure. I was actually surprised when I found out they make replicas of them which is why I asked.

How many friends do you have with GTR's? Also did you paint them or powder coat them? They look like they are a different color than the ones actually on the GTR.

I have two friends with GTR's..both white...my GTR wheels were painted to match the gunmetal color on the bottom lip of the GTR

I actually don't lose money..either make money or break even..and switch styles. I only buy wheels at a bargain...buy/trade/sell. I haven't lost out on a set of wheels yet..I had a 350z before the rx8 and had about 6 different sets of wheels on it within 2 years..only owned the rx8 for 3 months so far

Key is. Don't buy knockoff cheap and fakes. I only look for wheels that are made in Japan and forged

For $1000 I'd buy some Enkei RPF1's... Oh wait...

There are plenty of genuine quality and most importantly, FITTING wheels that can be had for $1000...

Honestly the best wheel/lightest wheel you can buy for the money is hands down the Enkei RPF1's

Yeah RPF1's are way played out. Half the Civics and S2000's in town are rocking RPF1's.

well ok guys lol just saying, I'm looking at these wheels from functional stand point. These wheels were used in formula 1 that alone is pretty dope! who the hell care's who has them. The Weight savings alone is worth it to me. Iv'e had my fair share of knock off rims (rota's). And the only thing i learned from that mistake, is that its only going to make you slower, get worse gas milage, your brakes will hate you, along with your drivetrain, and the more stress your engine has to fight, for the added rotational mass. But hey its just my opinion lol It's your car, you can do what you please

Oh I agree they are a great wheel and a tremendous value. They are just everywhere and what gets me is that I see knock off RPF1's. A set of 15" RPF1's has to be cheap as hell so why buy knock offs.

I still admire people that would lay their money down for one of the newer GTRs. Those things are pushing 6 figures after everything is said and done with taxes. At that level, I would push my wallet further and go Italian or German.

But they are pretty damn fast.

Anyway, I echo what others have said. The style of the wheel actually looks good in the RX-8, but not the size. (Talking about looks not function)

I actually like the way the design looks... it's just the rears are a little too pokey. I don't think you could bring the rear down without the fenders resting on tire.
