Got my C&D issue today, still the same "weight is the enemy" ad with the 247HP. Guess our noses will be rubbed in it for another month

 

I emailed them today: I can overlook the ad, but not their 'New for 2004' (Sept. issue)

Just asked them to include a little disclaimer reading: 'Manufacturer claimed as of xx/xx/xxxx"

As well as asking for a long term test of a production car. We'll see if they even publish it.

 

The latest issue of Automobile has the same ad. But, interestingly, the Motor Trend program on Spike TV says good things about the 8 but never directly mentions the HP #. They say it will be a big "hit" for Mazda.
