basically they mentioned that the 8 was a great car and they didn't say that the 8 was slow but had more than enough power. Had great handling... Nice review of the 8 though.

I'm certain there are other cars I'd be into for the money (aside from the RX8, of course). Aren't TSXs something like $25k?

I haven't seen a Toyota in SCC's 8 Great Rides since the '00 Celica. It's good to see them amongst sports cars, even if it's in the form of Scion.

8 great rides for under $30,000:
kewl, I have two of those on the list. Have a spec-V also. Can't beat it for $17k with all the options. Good stereo, reasonable interior, the early ones had decent body additions, really good suspension with very little body roll at all, a decent tight transmission, enough torque to squeal the tires through all gears except 5 and 6, good sized trunk, and enough room for the kids too.

What about the Cobalt SS? That thing puts up some pretty respectable numbers.

^that's the problem, putting up numbers is only *part* of the whole equation of a 'great ride', out of all people, I'd figure RX-8 owners would know that :D
