"Nothing lasts forever but the Earth and sky." - Dust in the Wind; Kansas

Normal to have a limited lifespan for a particular 'niche' model. Case in point, although a bit older production run, the Honda S2000 is already gone.

Of course some sports vehicles, such as the Miata, Mitsu Eclipse and of course 'Vette, enjoy variations on a theme for many years.

Given the 16X Mazda has a plan; let's just hope they stay the course.

Next model 2012? That's [narrowly] in my window of opportunity.

In the meantime, as most here, I too have wished for a MazdaSpeed RX-8. We shall see ......

Please feel free to leave last model RX-8 feedback on the RN.COM story at:

http://rotarynews.com/node/view/1090

We know Mazda is peeking at the feedback there...

yes i tried to crop it off so not to many people would ask. its running a carb too its set up that way for a reason the first time through. the next "phase" will be EFI and coils etc.

Ajax- Can't do it, that side has some proprietary stuff they want to keep under the hat for now. I can't even get them to tell me certain things and believe me I tried

well that's cool. good to see someone building a 3 rotor renesis. did they give any estimates on power in comparison to a 20b peripheral port exhaust?

Interesting, Yes, It would be good to know more..

Like is it an 8 port?, the inlet manifold set up., or a Auto Engine Convert?

Notice they use a "normal" intermediate iron housing for the 3rd plate, where as the 20B P has a wider Iron and a Spit Eccentric shaft.

I guess they have their own Eccentric shaft, again I am guessing it is a Cut and Shut welded on one?

I wonder if they get any e-shaft flexing.

yes the "stack" is all renesis. it is an 8 port. the one piece shaft is supported by a bearing. interestingly Ash I was told that there are more pics on an Australian rotary site. I havent found them yet.
