....and that the suicide doors found on the current version will also find their place in this new car.
If this is true, this is new news, right?

That specific article is probably not a repost... but there are thousands like it.
I seriously doubt the new RX will have the same door set up as the 8 like it claims. Most the other articles just talk about the engine and where it's getting it's design from, usually claiming it to be a 2 door coupe.

I don't know, I can see them going with the suicide door design again. They made a conscious decision to do that with the 8, due to the demographics they were aiming the vehicle at...

Take it for what it is. It's "news" as of 9/21/09.

Damn.. I haven't seen this yet. Is this NEW? Exciting.

It's pretty cool that, as we speak, wonder, post and ponder, Mazda designers actually are working on the new RX body.

I wouldn't call it "news", as it doesn't state a source and isn't a well known site to begin with. Plus it's the internet, they might just post such a small article in order to retain more search hits.

Don't get RX9 articles confused with the dubbed next RX7 either. It's been said that RX7 and RX8/9 are not the same, so suicide style doors in the RX9 could come and RX7 looks to be a 2 seater sports car like the 3rd gen.

It sounds like another of the "..something rotary is coming...just don't hold your breath" with 'our sources' having no more information than anybody else who's been paying attention for the last umteen years or so to devulge. What is plain is that Mazda's has decided to turn this story into a decade long waiting game.

The next new car the family gets, is for the wife unit. She still drives that '99 Passat... An reminds me of it everyday

Maybe I could get her to get a new RX... nah it would never work out.

Give her the 8, and you get the next one. Or convince her to get it, and just leave the house with it first every day.

This part sucks:
"A debut is expected in 2012 but we might see this car earlier,"

Uh, before December 21st please......

I wouldn't be surprised if Mazda sticks with the 2+2 format and suicide doors. If you read reviews of owners, they all praise that the 8 is so much more user friendly and practical because of it.

This, essentially. I can't see them going out on such a limb to offer two different rotary vehicles...It's not like this thing is a decent seller by any means.
