Sorry if this is a repost.
dang the time zones!!! i just woke up to a call from boowana reading the Press Release to me from right next to the car in Detroit. But you scooped me

So yeah everything we have seen plus some rear geometry changes, higher driveshaft rigidity, 4.777 gears for the rear. and 90mm exhaust- thats 3.5 inches folks. The moving redline and a change in the Oiling system that ill get you the particulars on later.

Waiting on word off the base front and ill let you know as soon as i hear.

what we've seen so far is going to be "R3" here.

Regular Touring adds Bluetooth handsfree for the cell phone.

Grand Touring adds the Bluetooth, RAIN SENSING WIPERS AND AUTO CLIMATE CONTROL

Current OEM 18" wheels have 225/45/18 tires
New 19" wheels have 225/40/19 tires

I wonder how narrow those look in person?

Sorry, honestly I dropped out of this thread after an hour of it opening buttttt, in the link you posted, says the R3 does have bose?

Inside, the R3 adds a 300-watt Bose(R) audio system with
Centerpoint(R) surround sound and AudioPilot(R) noise compensation
technology, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, front Recaro sport seats
with leather side bolsters, leather-wrapped parking brake handle and Mazda
Advanced Keyless Entry & Start system.
edit: oh and stock 4.77's? What did they do about gas mileage, 6th gear = true overdrive gear?

I don't think they give a crap about mileage on the R3 version.

Greetings from Germany, I read (a view pages before) that we have to brake all limits with this thread... (it's really an interesting issue)

And, I agree, I will also kill someone for that seats !!! (the Mazdaspeed would be looking very nice beside my white doorpanels, st.wheel, ...)

Has anyone asked at Recaro? I will ask Recaro Europe tomorrow about theses seats, if they already sell it :-)

4.777 is for all MT RX8s...

transmission-equipped cars is lowered from 4.444 to 4.777 for improved
off-the-line performance.

4.77 final gear; nice!
Looks like the HP remains the same but it should be a bit quicker with the new gearing

Air ventilation direction - i.e. it's currently blowing air at your face, probably part of CC
