Your "One time only" problems..?

Post what happened to your car just once and required no real fixing to resolve...could be anything from a rattle to an odd electronics failure to a no start even!

I got into my car, just like any other day. Went to start her up, just about a flat battery. I remembered activating the alarm on the car, so it wasn't a door open. I look all around, trying to find some light that was stuck on, nothing. It was about 3 days since I had driven the car, so whatever drained it had all weekend. I went and got the jumper cables and hooked her up. Started up just fine and that was the last time it had that issue. I was left scratching my head at what caused it.

Don't we all?

The only other issue that I've had with the car is the cover behind the wheel rotors bent in and was touching so when I drive a hideous squeel came out of the wheel well. Nothing to do with the cars issue, at least!

My DSC and ABS light came on. But the car drove fine. The next time I restarted the car, the lights went away. The car seems to feel stronger now. And gas mileage kicks ***. Maybe it met Jesus?

strange clicking from driver's side front even at idle.

bottom front plug wire was dangling in the breeze.

There was a high pitched squeal that came from under the dash, pitch raised/lowered with the RPM. Sounded a lot like a turbo, a bit higher though. Came and went twice but I haven't heard it in over a year.

I had this weird problem. The car was sitting at the stop light at idle, then all of a sudden, it just redlined without me stepping on the throttle. It was bouncing off of it and it seriously freaked me out so I killed the ignition, restarted the car, and it was fine. It was the weirdest two seconds of my life.

Idle dipped to the lowest marker and back up. A/C not on, mid 70's ambient temps...

I had a metallic sound of scraping off my drivers side. Spent HOURS trying to find the cause but no one else could hear it... Turned out a rock was wedged between the metal air director thing and the rotor...

just had this happen...

on a 3-hour drive, my coolant level light would come on for a few minutes, then go out for a few, etc. for pretty much the entire 3 hour. that was this weekend...om said it's not good and to take it in immediately...i was going to take it in tuesday but all day tuesday and today to/from work...never came on again. not sure what would cause that issue, but so far i'm at a loss...

2tone, there's a tsb for the coolant tank. the sensors are bad. your dealer should replace it for free if you have any warranty left.

lmao!!! dude, that IS meeting jesus! if only mazda couldve partnered with jesus to do something better with gas mileage and hp increase....

after replacing my ignition coils, my car stalled one time 2 days after.... but to this day it hasnt stalled again!

the only other incident i had like that was i thought my passenger side window was broken because it wouldnt go back up... for 2 days my window was down (even bagging it to prevent rain from getting inside and driving with a bag!!!) and i had no idea wtf it was i thought the window motor might've died or something..
this being my first car with power options, i didnt realize there was a window lock!!!

Completely different, but my 88 RX-7 did that a few times to me. I'd be driving down the road and it would just start reving, I checked and the throttle cable was never sticking or anything. In the end, it went away and I never saw it again. Crazy automobiles.

once i stalled while doing a second gear power slide. Went all the way around and didn't give it enough throttle and it killed it as I was going backwards.
