Check local weather listings for fogs, storms - This is a very interesting area, much beauty, if you have to go a little slow it will be worth it just for the eye candy!

 

Ironically, i almost forgot about the dragon! I had a group of Cobra owners that wanted to run it last year and I couldn't make it. Sounds like it would have been REALLY tough to run on one of those...sadly, last season one of my buds flipped his 01 vert down a mountain! Him and his dad walked away, but by the look of the pics, it was a miracle!

I'll swing by it next weekend when i'm down in Tennee for vacation anyway...it sounds pretty awesome from all i've heard!

I haven't made it to the Dragon yet. It does look like much fun, but the videos I've seen don't seem to show that it's any more fun than many, very empty, 2 laners that can be found in most Appalachian states (I'm most familiar with WV). But it is considerably longer than most fun stretches of road. Every time I go home to visit the parents, there's 10-15 1 to 7 mile stretches of fabulous 2 lane mountain roads to drive on, within 30 miles. The Dragon may be legendary, but just get out a map and you will not be disappointed in Appalachia.
