Wow it sure took a while for us red owners to chime in!! I think it's because we are soooo totally satisfied with our choice that we originally ignored this thread until the post count was high enough to signify a thread worth reading (at least that what I did). The Red Rocks!!! No second thoughts at all.

Well, the overwhelming consensus seems to be that everyone is deliriously happy with their choice in color. Not one among us disatisfied with our choice? Now it would be nice to see some great hi-def pictures of each color in place to compare . . . .

In the Washington area there are several dealers nearby. Use the mazdausa.com website to see if there is a car with the color/options you want. Then ask your dealer to trade stock or buy it from where you found it.
That's how I got my Nordic Green with black/chapparal leather.

Glad I visited the dealer a couple times in differing weather. First trip on a bright day, the soap-bubble effect of the green amazed me. The blue looked good, too. The red and yellow were too bright and lost their lines.
The second trip was on an overcast day. The yellow and red looked way better. The green looked as black as the black. The blue still looked good.
The black never seemed to bring out the great curves and lines of the car. Some details get lost altogether. Definitely a car to flash past in and *know* people were wondering "what was that?!?"
Had too many silver cars in my life.
The blue is cool but a little comical. A little too electric, for me.
Picked the titanium because it really messes with my color vision...it seems to change color in various lighting conditions. Plus, it shows the lines best IMHO.
I don't think this car would look good in white. Might look good in a bronze or a metalic teal.

I like them in every color offered in North America...but having to choose...I would go with:
1. Winning Blue...every cool car I owned was Blue
2. Lightning Yellow....never had one...RX8 looks awesome in Yellow.
3. Velocity Red...Sports cars are stereotypically supposed to be Red...
4. Brilliant Black...nice understated...classy
5. any of the rest....none better than others....
