Are ya'll having these problems?

My '04 RX8 makes a "clank" sound when I drive over an expansion joint or when I hit a pothole in the road. It's coming from the rear. I dunno if it's the rear axle, suspension piece or what. It doesn't even have to be a big expansion joint, or pothole...the smallest jar will make it clank. I've gotten underneath the car with my flashlight, and of course I can't find anything. Have any of you had this issue? Also my SRS warning light has been on the the last 3 months. During that time, it has gone out "once" for about a few minutes, but has come back on. I had this problem before, took it to the dealer and they said that my driver's floor mat was causing the problem (the tech. person said that my all-weather floor mats are not genuine Mazda, but in fact they are.) Anyway they reset, "something", but it has come back again.

Thank you in advance for vast knowlege boyz.

Your dealer sounds like a dink. Go elsewhere and ask them.

They should be able to take care of the light and maybe they'll find the clank too.

for the clink you hear in the rear. you exhaust mount might have broken, and you hear part of the exhaust pipe hit the frame.

i had that problem with a bmw.

as for the srs problem because of your floor mats is by far the stupidist **** i have ever heard in my life. im not jokeing. i would get somthing written from the teck, and then call mazda usa with it. and tell them you dont like to get jerked off by there dumbass techs.

Floor mats... wow. Please don't refer to that guy as a "tech" anymore.
